Re: Los Angeles
I've been living in LA for 2 years now (I know boo/hiss) and I was back in MPLS this weekend, and was thinking about some of the things that have come a long way there. I thought some of you might be interested in some of the things LA is doing right(?) /some really cool large scale TOD https://la.u...

Re: 200 Central (2019) - 293' / 27 Stories
The design has changed, it has lost the slight inward angle of the exterior walls. Not a major change, but it has lost some dynamics. The slight angle would have provided some interesting light play to an otherwise very static box.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis - News & General Topics
I live in LA now so most of what I see in the news is LA centric (sorry), thought it was cool to see Minneapolis at 10th on this list of apartment units built in its downtown over the past decade!

I loved the balconies on the previous design! This one strikes me as pretty boring.

This is a great photo from the development tracker instaHow's this coming along. I'm in Florida now so I can't see this stuff go up anymore.

Lunds would be the biggest win! I always imagine Holmes being able to run up to the mall, getting rid of that super block and having basically two whole new walkable uptown blocks!

Re: Green Line Extension - Southwest LRT
I think a lot of people will use it recreationally. Especially with plans to flesh out a little more of cedar lakes Park area to the north. It reminds me of being in Berlin and taking the train to Wanssee or something like that, and those stops were heavily used. Might be to the chagrin of the neigh...

It was a while back!
The island needs a few years to establish itself as stable habitat before they want to allow humans easy access.

Re: RBC Gateway (Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 519'
This building is very prominent when driving in to downtown on Highway 55. I'm liking it more and more every time I see it. What I like best is how the three pieces are brought together so smoothly, compared to the total mess called Centre Village. Could it be taller? Yes, of course, but I think we...

Lights are turned on. The top has a really nice soft warm glow to it. I kind of like it since it's not trying to draw attention away from the core night skyline. Take a look tonight! I hope they light more of the tower, just the very top is kind of weird to me. The Carlyle is lit much nicer. I feel...

Oh, interesting. And here's the long-term parking plan. Glad it's not going to be a giant permanent lot. Running underneath both buildings will be a two-floor parking garage that will have 313 parking spaces that will be available to residents, office tenants and employees of the food hall. ... Par...

Can anyone tell where exactly that building is going? The transformation of this area has been crazy, but the one random part of Malcolm Yards is the parking setup. The lumpy dirt lots feel very temporary, but this also feels like a concept that won't make it without a good amount of parking. I bel...
