Re: The Once and Future Dayton's
I'm excited for this project but I would love to hear some reasons why this won't end up like Block E.

Re: Mill City Quarter - 300 South 2nd Street
I'm still waiting for the woonerf to connect to the river. At the moment, it looks like it will end just south under the the 3rd Ave. bridge, in a Thelma & Louise sort of way. Yeah, I recently walked through here and was a little bummed that there seemed to be no attempt to take down the fence ...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News
Do members have to buy the alcohol? Do they have a beer/wine/liquor license? It sounds like an ad agency trying to make money off of their employees if that's the case. If it isn't the case, it's basically just a cool place for employees to have meetings while drinking a beer.

Re: National Marrow Donor Program HQ - 524 5th Street North
Are you talking about across the street next to the new train station? I think he means the curved facade and little crescent shaped strip of grass on the 5th St. side of the building. Yes, that's what I was referring to, sorry for not being more clear. My comment is based off of the pictures, unfo...

I don't mind the building but that curve with the grass bugs me a bit, looks very suburban.

What is The Skyline across the river? Is that what they are calling Alatus's tower?

Re: Mayo Clinic Square
I don't think it matters how/why the businesses left, the perception was that everything there was failing. The building looks much better but it's still the same building, people are going to be hesitant to throw money into it without seeing other buisinesses succeed.

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
I agree it's not ideal if you have a car and not off-street parking, but I'm not sure why you presume many people here have that situation. I am under the impression most residents either have off-street parking or go car-free. Close proximity to Hennepin, Nicollet, and Franklin gives plenty of mas...

Re: Nicollet Hotel Block
The following sentence is written sarcastically:Ah I see. I think people need to start warning when it's satire. People say a lot of dumb things on the internet now a days it's beginning to be harder and harder to tell when people are serious or joking.
That sounds like a great idea!

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
Is 3C even still on the table? Is there a point in arguing? It may be misinterpreting but it seems like many on here still want 3A to pass. Is that true? I would rather have nothing at all than allow this light rail to skip Uptown.

I said this a while ago, to give some sort of reason for this choice, and was treated like a dummy.^Something to do with preserving sight lines to City Hall, so I'm told.
Were you actually told that or are you being smart?

I think it would be kind of cool to see MINNEAPOLIS, in the "ghost sign" style, painted down the side.
