Re: Eleven (Ryan Condo Tower) - 1111 West River Parkway - 41 stories / 550'
If I remember correctly, the only place they could do a lid over 35 in this vicinity is south of Washington. There's not enough elevation to the north of Washington unless you get up past University.

Re: Melzer Block (E Hennepin between Univ and 4th) for Sale
I think most of the buildings have tenants that are fairly well established. I would think this is nothing more than the seller having a great opportunity to sell while the asset is maximized.

Re: Northeast and Southeast Minneapolis - General Topics
It's amazing how much traffic has increased at this intersection just since the Broadway reconfiguration. Central at evening rush hour is a disaster near Lowry, I can only imagine this will get worse now.

Re: RBC Gateway (Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 519'
That equipment has been there for almost a month. At one point someone had thrown out 10-28 as a groundbreaking, clearly that hasn't happened. I would have to believe that at least part of the parking lot will need to be closed for the construction. Wondering if there is anything on-site that may te...

Re: Cambria / Fairfield Hotels - 41 10th Street N (former Ramada block)
It would be nice to see a development along the lines of Expo go on this block. doesn't need to be huge, but definitely something more substantial than the last hotel proposal.

Drove past this yesterday and there was no activity on the site. The equipment that is there is fenced in and hasn't moved since they brought it over.

Right now have a really long construction schedule. We'll have to see if they shorten it to get some use of the rooftop next summer.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News
I was talking with someone involved with the new Pinstripes on Washington and it sounds like they're trying to get a rooftop dining area as well as a traditional restaurant space and gaming areas.

Re: Northeast and Southeast Minneapolis - General Topics
I got the impression that New Bohemia was willing to stay, but the building owner was going to raise the price on the lease. Seems to me that most times I drove by there were always people there, so I think they still had a good following. This is a prime corner so I'm guessing with the addition of ...

The Expo has topped out the last residential floor, but is still working on the "canopy" for the top, so there is still more concrete work up there.

Re: Electric Scooters
Scary thing is I'm seeing families on these things. Twice last week, in separate instances, I witnessed a mom (or older sibling) with 2 kids on a single scooter. In one case they ignored a red light, while traffic was moving, to cut across 4 lanes and kept moving like nothing had happened; how they ...

I was just in the building last week and everyone just referred to it as the 419 Building. I know Calabrio has 2 floors in the building, but I don't believe there were any naming rights.

Please, please, please come to fruition! They've had this plot for a long time, I'm glad they're finally pulling the trigger! My guess is they're looking to land Fredrikson and Byron for the office portion.

I work directly next to this project. There are way too many things to scratch you head about with this thing. If you have a blank slate this is what you come up with?! The parking structure is already up. All of the internal streets and curbing are in, but none of the buildings have been started or...

I think the current building is in such disrepair that they had no option but to start over. This corner has been dead for a while, let's hope this development livens it up a bit. Kitty corner the liquor store closed a while a go; it would be nice to see that lot redeveloped into something as well!

Re: West End / Central Park West Development - St. Louis Park
Elan West End. 164 units. Not to be confused with the Luxe apartments that will go where the Olive Garden is 50 feet west. Between these two projects and the spec office going up this fall will West End be completely built out? I'm just trying to think of where there's open space left. Maybe one of...

Are they going to close off that whole sidewalk on the west side of Nicollet? From the way those barriers are placed, that's sort of what it looks like. From the latest images of the project the sidewalk is completely different than the current layout as that whole NE corner is plaza. Seems like a ...

I truly don't get how these unattractive, insignificant buildings could wind up with any historic designation. What a waste of resources and time!
