Re: Denver

Cool set of before and after images from Google Earth showing the decades long project to de-parkinglot-ify Denver. Still a long way to go.

Re: Denver

Denver's primary infill development website just posted bi-annual updates of downtown residential and non-residential developments since 2010. Local infill geeks love the June and December posts. Mmmm...data-licious. http://denverinfill.com/blog/2017/06/downtown-residential-june-2017.html http://den...

Re: Breweries and Taprooms

Some outside perspective here...I currently live in Denver, but lived in MSP for 18 years (and I've been to a fair number of MSP taprooms). There are currently 60+ breweries in Denver and most are taprooms. Not many have kitchens. Food trucks serve most of the taprooms and it's a great model because...

Re: Denver

No lines were switched to BRT. Original plans had a BRT line running to Boulder (along with a rail line not built yet). The BRT line started in January...but it's more BRT-lite...no dedicated lane the entire way (mostly uses HOV), but has dedicated freeway stops.

Re: Denver

I'd like see the numbers on highway miles cause it sure seems like there's a lot more in Mpls. And it's a bit hard to compare the systems: Denver has a hub and spoke system with lines out to the suburbs...and some of those suburban areas aren't fully developed or low-density. Mpls. system is mostly ...

Re: Denver

Pretty accurate article about the situation out here. Have lived in Denver for 8 years; ~20 years in Mpls. before that. Remaining challenges are to complete the Boulder line (full funding not set) and to maximize the zoning/building at each of the stations. Some stations have built out faster than o...

Re: Nicollet Hotel Block

http://www.seattle.gov/dpd/AppDocs/G...endaID5189.pdf Well, this is curious (and yes, first time post). Stumbled on this while checking out Seattle's development news (amazing stuff happening out there). The project is a 440' residential tower (3rd and Lenora on SSC). On page 30 of the document, the...
