Re: Green Line (Central)
There are still crosswalks, and even mid block crosswalks, all along University. I am confused if you are trying to say that this will divide the city or not?

Re: Target Campus - Brooklyn Park
For comparison.
Target DT HQ to Target BP campus - 14.6 miles
Target DT HQ to Best Buy HQ - 9.1 miles
Target DT HQ to EP Mall - 15.2 miles
I think the main difference is definitely in the feel. The 169-610 connection is in the middle of fields. Given a few years I am sure they will be developed.

Viktor, Thanks. I agree that the new growler law would be a great way to keep improving the local growing economy. (read: craft brew market)

Re: Surly Brewery Site
So you don't think that Omar Ansari had a BIG deal with getting that bill past? I seem to recall that Surly actually hired their own lobbyists and really lead the charge on it.
I think you're trying to put a twist on what I am saying. Not cool, Bro.

Re: Surly Brewery Site
You know, I was having a discussion about Surly at the Twins game yesterday. I wonder if they are getting any kind of kickback from all the small taprooms that have opened up? They are only possible because of Surly's political efforts. Maybe approving these loans are a sort of "thanks" fr...

Interesting idea. One flaw could be changing the field alignment. I have a feeling that baseball fields can only face certain directions because of the setting sun.

Re: Vikings Stadium
Having something like The Grove would be AMAZING! I done tailgating for both Vikings and Gopher games... it always ends up being more work than it's worth. A few problems I see with trying to change it: 1. The Grove is "no flame" and that would not go over well here. 2. What will happen to...

Primebar has closed: http://blogs.citypages.com/food/2013/03/primebar_closing_in_calhoun_square.php Not very sad to see this leave. Too chainy. Re: Surdyk's/US Bank/West Photo Block
Isn't that the beauty of terms like "nearby"? I've read articles about "Nearby Galaxies" and I am pretty sure that they are further away than National Camera.Anything is artificially "nearby" at 60MPH on the freeway. Actually nearby is a different thing entirely.

Re: Downtown Demographics
Does anyone know how I can post .pdf of the survey that I received?
General demo info first, then asks about crime, neighborhood groups, and some specific sites (Target Field, HERC, etc) and asks if they are a benefit, then asks for future visions.

Re: Surdyk's/US Bank/West Photo Block
As you said, people have different definitions of nearby. I live in the North Loop and consider anything inside the 494/694 loop to be "nearby." From my place to GV National Camera is 7.9 miles, 13 min by car. To the Roseville location is 8.0 miles, 17 min by car. That is nearby to me. Jus...

To downtown Minneapolis? You have a very small "nearby" then, because I would consider bothe the Golden Valley and Roseville to be nearby.

Re: Downtown Demographics
Today I received a survey from a geography prof at the U (Dr. Brenda Kayzar) who is researching the revitalization of the North Loop.
The primary goal of the survey is to learn what everyday life is like in mixed use neighborhood; to the benefit of future planning.
Let me know if you want more info.
