Re: TMBR - 100 3rd Ave N
Given the name and "The simple material pallet of natural terra cotta, grey glass and heavy timber structure..." (emphasis added), I'm going to go ahead and assume it'll be mass timber, yes.

Regarding St. Joe: there are a ton of CSB|SJU students who could make use of such a stop.

MPRB has also published long-range plans for Minnehaha Creek. https://www.minneapolisparks.org/project_updates/check-out-initial-plans-outlining-the-future-of-parks-and-trails-along-minnehaha-creek/ Segment 3 is of the greatest interest to me, as we live just north of the parkway. 3-1A is my selfish...

You aren't kidding. The map on that site is pretty exciting.B Line has a website up: https://www.metrotransit.org/b-line-project

... but every one of these projects link up in some way or another, and as a whole will dramatically improve transit service for a lot of people in Minneapolis.

Considering I have my eye on the VW I.D. BUZZ and I live in &^#$%ing cold Minneapolis, that was a good article to read. Should probably set aside some $$$ to insulate and heat the garage by the time the new bus is available.

Drove by yesterday afternoon and saw a sign by the entrance to the parking lot stating it closes permanently on February 1. Here we go.

Huh. Why the no? Edit: I work just west of here and if I am late leaving the office it's almost eerie just how desolate everything is. The brewery is always hopping, but everything else is completely vacant. Even Subway/Caribou/Starbucks/Cheetah Pizza are virtually empty. Adding residential seems li...

I made the profoundly stupid mistake of clicking "Thank" on a NextDoor post by my neighbor sharing the Slate article about the 2040 plan, and now I'm getting a boatload of notifications for anguished responses from people convinced this is the end of MPLS.

I see labels for Option A (Library) and Option B (this thing), so I have to assume they’re only planning to build one.

You should get some clarification on which one goes first. The images are swapped relative to the descriptions. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Turtle Bread/Pizza Biga definitely have tables outside. We sit there whenever the weather allows (and we always walk or bike, regardless of season). Although we’re debating giving them up because of this.
We will absolutely use a BRT stop here. Looking forward to it, in fact.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Topics & Development Map
Hmm. The visualization MNDOT posted on YouTube shows SB 35W going under the downtown lanes, which is what I had originally typed before digging up that PDF and changing it to "over". Under makes way more sense anyway.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Topics & Development Map
The braid is being removed and SB 35W will cross over the downtown lanes farther north. So the whole thing isn't sinking, but that particular cross-section will be pretty flat all the way across. Drawings are here: http://www.dot.state.mn.us/35w94/pdf/ea ... ndix-A.pdf
