Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map

So you're hoping the 3 and France Ave, not 65 and 14, will support a full BRT service in the future then?

Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map

If you insist on adding minor bus lines (63, 65, etc) not part of Metro's planned rapid network, check the recommended changes when Central Corridor begins service: http://metrotransit.org/recommended-plan.aspx Namely the 63 will continue up to Raymond Station. 3 and 6 (the France Av. leg) as well ...

Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map

Here's the latest map. I've addressed some of the issues above and added a new rapid route along Grand Ave. in St. Paul (63 bus).

Bug Fixes and Error Reporting

Just a note that I am tracking your many wonderful suggestions and/or corrections by manually recording them in this Google Doc . Problem: It's a laborious process and occasionally some of the things you suggest may fall through the cracks/get overlooked. Solution: You can help me by filing a ticket...

Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map

Green Line: Disagree if you want (anyone), but the White Bear Lake line should not be interlined with Green. Wasn't it Yellow before?
1. ...
2. ...
3. ...
Makes sense. A show of hands, anyone else would rather have it shown as a separate from the Green line service?

Re: How do you primarily get around?

It took some courage to sell my car and move into the heart of the city, but I now happily take transit or bike for daily commute. Hourcar is great for longer trips and/or haulage. Saves me 300+ hours and $3,500 each year over driving. Also, we have some of the most polite and helpful bus drivers to...

Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map

Here's an early sneak peak of the final map. I added the info section detailing Metro, aBRT, and Commuter Rail lines. There is enough room there to include terminal stations, frequency of service and, potentially, travel time from end to end of each line. Anything planned for the HWY 36? More polish...

Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map

I'd like to hear your proposals for future commuter rail frequencies

Commuter lines:

Northstar to St. Cloud
Rush Line
Red Rock to Hastings
NLX

Example:

[tab=30]Every :30, 6am — 9am, 3pm — 6pm; Every :60, 9am — 3pm, 6pm — midnight. Last Nort/South-bound train leaves X station at x time.

Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map

Shouldn't Robbinsdale, Warehouse, Nicollet Mall, and Snelling be shown as transfer stations? Yes to Snelling and Robbinsdale. Downtown stations will, however, have to be shown as part of a separate map inset. For A-BRT, Penn and Emerson Av N have been added, basically following the 5 and 19 routes ...

Tak for det. I see that there are far too many small details here for the downtown portion to be even included on this map.

A small update today. Tweaked "A" bus routes, added route and street labels. The 94 bus is now highlighted separately as a highway BRT / frequent express service operating between downtowns.

Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map

I could see a F-BRT plan like this: http://goo.gl/maps/EgqIX ... obviously the only real lines that are considered as part of this network are purple, pink, red and orange [edit: those are the colors on visualizer's nice map, and of course only red and orange are happening soon]. This map is purely...

Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map

http://i49.tinypic.com/1jrn8k.jpg Red Line: extended the Red Line / Cedar BRT to Downtown per mattaudio's proposal. Minneapolis's network starts to look complete. Purple Line: The i394 BRT interlines with the Gateway BRT via i94 express bus service between the downtowns (replaces #94 bus). Green Li...
