Re: Twin Cities' National and Global Image
Nor do I. My potential career choices are determined by two things: not having to sit in a cubicle and a business casual dress code.

Re: MSP Airport
For eastbound flights departing to the west from runways 30L/R, it looks like they fly from MSP towards the north/northeast on vectors to intercept the 119 degree radial from the GEP VORTAC when using the COULT6 departure. It is my understanding that they try to avoid flying over the downtown area d...

Re: Nicollet Hotel Block
I would love to hear what others would like Duval to do. It sounds like small minded thinking is coming out with many of the negative comments. So what if it surpasses the IDS? Progress. No one stays on top forever. A tower of this height would be great for Minneapolis. I actually like the simpler ...

Re: Suburbs - General Topics
Near where I live, the 'ponds' are just concrete tubs. It doesn't look very nice, but it gets the job done.

Re: Nicollet Hotel Block
Looks like it won't flood the office market square-footage wise, either, with it being so skinny. At least, it appears that way.

I don't what all the quoting hoopla is about. Just be respectful about it and don't quote someone's autobiography that was one post above.

Re: Minneapolis - St. Paul Business News
I was in Shanghai a few years back, it was impossible to take a picture across the river in Pudong because of the smog and humidity - the camera would fog up instantly. It was brutal. I didn't know they had so many stores in China, however.

Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
Why then did the MLS locate the most recent franchise in Atlanta's NFL stadium? Enthusiasm for the MLS will be tepid in Atlanta along with all professional sports in Atlanta. No use in building a soccer specific stadium in Atalanta, but it is worth a shot that maybe the sport will catch on. The NHL...

Re: MSP Airport
You can guarantee those 744s will be jam-packed with non-revs. The 7:30am departure to MSP has about 30 unsold seats.

Looks like Google Earth updated their imagery of downtown/elsewhere.
There is also a Vikings game at TCF happening in the shot. Kinda cool.

Re: Dan Patch Intercity Regional Passenger Rail
I remember Lakeville putting in nice, sharp crossing arms where the line crosses at-grade near Orchard and Kinsley lakes many years back. I don't think they were ever used.

Was on a 2-car train during rush-hour this morning. It was weird watching people have to shuffle across the icy station. A heads up would have been nice.

Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
It is truly massive. I noticed the same effect getting off the train at the Cedar-Riverside station. The station is still somewhat far away from the stadium, but it does loom there. I am kind of bummed that it will kill the nice skyline view from my apartment I've had since the Dome went down.

Re: University of Minnesota
Thanks for the replies. It is kind of what I figured. With the train running at grade, we seem to be stuck with it for a while. I don't necessarily mind having to walk across those bridges because it lends to a beautiful view, but having the grass continue all the way across the mall would be nice. ...
