Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
Thanks Twincitizen. I liked the piece. I think its a great idea. I recall friends saying they couldnt afford the U pass, and my response was usually, if you do not live in close proximity to the U, how can you not. I find $97 for unlimited rides on the majority of the Twin Cities Transit network to ...

Also, according to the MPR article " 5 percent of the nation's rail traffic moves through the freight tracks along the depot."
Wow! I had no idea about this.

Re: Saint Paul Union Depot
Are there rules preventing freight companies from adding passenger cars to their trains, or vice versa amtrak adding more freight cars? Airlines often add cargo to passenger flights, so why don't railroads?

Re: Orange Line (35W BRT)
My first reactions is to ask if they considered doing a far side station for the north bound 66th st. station. I guess near side would allow better interlining to the 515 bus route, but then why wouldn't they put the south bound station on the near side as well? Anyone have any insight?

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
Was it ever explained why we need two tunnels on Kenilworth? I understand the reasoning for the southern one, as the trail gets a bit narrow there, but the area north of the channel bridge is pretty wide as I recall. Can someone help me out?

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
This seems to be very similar to what went down for the central corridor. Does anybody else feel this. Maybe we''l get something cool out of it, like I think we did with the Washington Ave Transit Mall.
