Re: Major League Soccer Stadium

What are the chances this makes it to completion without a ramp or parking of some kind being added to accommodate fans? Gotta think the team isn't crazy about the lack of parking (aside from the pascal thing, which I would think would be more of a gathering space on gameday with events and food and...

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

http://www.startribune.com/my-run-in-with-hate-speech-at-a-minnesota-vikings-game/361117251/ Soooo glad we're subsidizing this. Not really sure what this story has to do with the stadium construction. This encounter could've easily happened at a park, bar, movie theater, or a grocery store. There a...

Re: Freight Rail News and Happenings

Canadian Pacific has extended an offer to buy Norfolk Southern for $28 billion, though it's hard to say whether NS will be amenable to the takeover. If this happens, I suspect CP's United States headquarters could move away from Minneapolis. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-11-17/canadia...

Re: Green Line NexTrip API GPS Locations

I contacted metrotransit about the error in GPS latitude for a portion of the Green Line. They told me that someone is already working on it. Meanwhile, I figured-out the error is latitude+0.007795 Here is my NexTrip API/PHP/Google Map mashup showing all trains in service ... in real time : http://...

Green Line ridership is running over 40,000 per weekday

Anyone know what the ridership on the 50/16 was? Curious how that would compare.

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)

I'm newish to the board here, and have been watching this debate in the news and have never found the answer to one question. I've never seen a reason for why relocating the bike path was rejected, does anyone know of a statement of why parties involved were opposed to this option?

Re: Northrop Auditorium Renovation

Not misguided at all. Beautiful building on the historic campus mall. The best part of the "U".
The interior offices and band space was hideous as well, very bad condition inside the building.

I work on the Empire Builder as a conductor. I'll be happy to answer any questions, so long as I know the answer. ; )
Why is can't Amtrak design a schedule that works? People might use it more if the train wasn't so often delayed.

The Trader Joe's in St. Louis Park has a worse parking lot, I like to walk there though.
