This will be a great opportunity to an a condo conversation. I'm not sure what floors Target occupies, but think about the views.

Re: George Floyd murder and aftermath
I'm not looking forward to 4 months of military occupation in our city this year. I think the situation is setting up to be perfect storm that we are not at all ready for. - If Chauvin is acquitted the public will be even more angry because justice could have been served but wasn't - This is happeni...

I'm excited about the Skyway connection to the hospital. This is a big deal for mobility limited people. It also connects the largest downtown employer to the rest of the system. That's a big win for the cbd.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News
Also - even though I shopped at the Target liquor store on Nicollet, I was never a fan of it opening, considering the number of homeless people and those who obviously had drinking problems whom were already loitering in the area. Bad part on the city for allowing it to open. I thought that per the...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News
It really bothers me that they have closed the liquor store and that the store now closes at 6. I understand that people hanging around fighting, blocking the entrance, panhandling is intimidating to some. Target could easily have a larger security presence and make it slightly less comfortable for ...

Re: Tunnels!
Now I wonder how an automated rapid transit network in Montreal consisting of 42 miles will cost CA$6.5 billion (according to Wikipedia) while Honolulu's automated rapid transit line, which I believe will be built completely above grade, will cost at least $10 billion for a 20 mile route. I'm sure ...

Re: Tunnels!
I think Skyway connected stations would be amazing. Love them or hate them Skyways are an integral part of our transportation system in the city. I like to look at Montréal for what Minneapolis could be. There are a ton of similarities. Metro area population is approximately the same, weather is app...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News
Boludo is opening a second location in the former McKinney Roe space. I suspect it'll work better there than a fancy restaurant. The problem with McKinney Row was they charged fancy restaurant prices without offering fancy restaurant quality of food and service. People are happy to pay more if they...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Office Market
The way I see it after all these month is I don't work from home. I live at work. Boundaries have pretty much been eliminated. People don't have a problem calling a 6 am, 9 pm or on days off. Everyone knows you aren't out doing something else. I do think we'll see a shift in some jobs. Jobs that are...

There has been 50 years of disinvestment. As a community we should be embarrassed that we have ignored an entire quadrant of the city for an entire generation.

Re: Bottineau LRT (Blue Line Extension)
This will probably get pretty ugly. As I see it there are two groups that oppose the Blue Line substantially serving the north side: - Suburban residents believe that it will bring crime -North Side residents who are opposed to new amenities because of the gentrification risk The second group doesn'...

I agree. Skyway access within 1700 feet and rail access within 2500 feet is not a low amenity location.
