Re: Southwest LRT
I don't understand why this would score so low. They must be basing it solely off of the short term effects for the engineering work. Otherwise I don't see why this would be so low for jobs created and regional impact. Oh well maybe in 15 years we'll finally have a 3 line rail system to take us to a...

This project scored at the top for the northern region. Assuming the decisions go by this report I'd say this project is pretty likely.

Hopefully things will go well and they'll start up service from Saint Cloud to Las Vegas and Orlando Sanford. As for the Chicago service my guess would be United, considering they already do th...

Re: Izzy's Ice Cream Factory
It's not solely an ice cream shop though. It is their headquarters and a factory at which they will be producing their product for sale across a much broader area. Its not like the livelihood of the building or company depend on how much ice cream they sell at this particular location. I wouldn't wo...

Re: AtWater Building
You might be right beykite, but I think many of those jobs are going to be at the old northwest maintenance facility at the airport. Other possible contenders could be Enbridge or possibly Maurices (I think Maurices headquarters I last heard is almost full and possibly spread out...I could be wrong...

Re: New Building proposed for Downtown Duluth
We should find out in September if this qualifies for the state funding. From what I understand $8 million is being sought for from the state, and then the city would match another $8 million or so. Also the bonding money is solely for the underground parking structure, not the building itself. Anot...
