Re: 400 Marquette Avenue
Hopefully this isn't too late to the game... Given its small footprint though this probably won't be all that many units which might give it a bit of an advantage. I wouldn't worry too much about blocked views, if I recall correctly isn't the tower portion of Nic on Fifth offset more on the Nicollet...

Re: SimCity
SC4 with Rush Hour is where its at. Check out the exchange on simtropolis.com, tons of mods there. The NAM mod is awesome, adds tons of new highways and transportation options like LRT and high speed rail. There really isn't a single mod that isn't there. They even have a mod to legalize medical mar...

Could someone explain that article to me as though you would to an idiot? Does this increase or decrease the chances of a new tower?

Well kudos to the architect. My two year old told me to "look at the people building on the boat"
For those of you noticing how almost nothing is different from the last picture... I should mention almost the entire other side of the building is covered in some type of black sheathing.

This will be a cool bookend to the park. As I've said before too this will really extend the skyline looking from 35W.

Re: Loring Park Apartments - (1368 LaSalle Avenue)
I like both of our new residential towers and am having a hard time figuring out the angst towards them. I thought most of us were waiting for these kind of developments? It appears to me that these are upscale, unique to our downtown, and will be attractive buildings that should age well. Because ...

Tons of details in the pdf. I definitely suggest taking a look. Lots of different site plans and little renderings. Also not sure if it is posted anywhere on here yet but for the record major construction is set to begin June 1st 2013 and finish May 30th 2014.

The plan is that the right lanes to both 62 east and west will not be exit only at some point. MnDOT was building with the future in mind, for when 62 is six lanes east to 77 and west to 212. By then they will probably need to replace those signs due to aging anyways... :? In regards to control cit...

Re: MSP Airport
I know going north on 35W the sign by 494 says MSP. People are stupidI'm sure there were some who got confused. On 494 they had to remove the county road 5 shields from the Minnetonka Blvd exit sign because people thought it was MN 5. That was a much greater waste of money. While it'd be extremely o...

Re: StoneBridge (2nd Street South & 11th Avenue South)
Seeing this while crossing the 35W or 94 bridges really gets me excited. It's going to nicely extend the skyline out through the Mill District. I hope they post some pictures of the views the units will have. Should be some great views of both the river and skyline which are more or less guaranteed ...

So this is called 5th Street Flats? I like it. Its a great design, I think it fits in nicely. I'm sure they'll still be mad about the "scale" and what not but I think it looks great. And thats all that matters right??
