Also, there are much more detailed plans in the "Alternatives" section.Check the "Executive Summary" link on the page from the link. At the very end there is a diagram of all the proposed changes.

Re: MSP Airport
The 4th runway was finished in 2005. It was said at that time the current setup should handle 700,000 - 750,000 yearly movements without causing unacceptable delays. The projection for 2030 is 630,837 total movements so still well under capacity.

Re: Underpass Park in Toronto: why not Mpls?
I'd rather just get rid of the viaduct altogether. But I guess that's pipe dream territory at this point?

Re: MSP Airport
He's a link to the comprehensive plan: http://www.mspairport.com/about-msp/airport-improvements/ltcp_final_document.aspx Well worth looking through if this interests you at all. IMO the most immediate need is the customs / border protection facilities. It's the only area at MSP that is so obviously ...

Re: New Target Building - (1001 Nicollet Mall)
Well, for one thing, I'm 21. For another, I wrapped up a degree in Urban Studies from the U a year ago, and I got to read lots of articles from the 00s and even 90s that were trendy then but kind of humorously dated now about the "new urban lifestyle", etc. Some types of people have alway...

Re: New Target Building - (1001 Nicollet Mall)
Once this economy picks back up, I think its going to take some of these companies by surprise. Once people have more of a choice, they're going to refuse to work at corporate campuses outside the beltway. It's already happening. You guys need to out more, seriously. I have friends that work in the...

Re: Vikings Stadium
Pretty sure the stadium is going to suck from an urbanist perspective regardless. I do hope we don't build a giant barn. You sound like my 12 year old. It's gonna suck! It can't be worse than what is there now. ehh? I support the stadium in general. Feel feel to refute any statement I make but don'...

Restaurants, IMO. Enough places have stuck around long enough to show it's a prime location for them.

Re: Xcel Energy HQ - (401 Nicollet Mall)
Where are all these vacant spots? Nicollet Mall between 7th and 12th is pretty damn healthy. And while I don't really like it's interaction with the street I'm not saying US Bancorp Center is some abomination. My point was regarding the feasibility of adding retail in the future.
