Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)

I witnessed the same thing, going from Regions to Central station. I saw an eastbound and a westbound train leaving Central (both directions) and neither had to wait to cross the intersection when leaving the station. A week or two ago going from just north of Central to the intersection of 4th and ...

Re: West Side Flats - (84 Wabasha Street South)

So the sides of the building that are visible when looking toward the river are blue, and those visible when looking toward the bluffs are brown? Red, actually. I hope the next phases of this development happen soon, to get rid of that big parking lot next to this first building. I think this will ...

Here's the plan for now: http://blogs.mprnews.org/cities/2014/05 ... paul-park/

More permanent plans need more funding.

Re: The Penfield - (101 10th Street East)

The lot is currently being prepared for a "pre-park," what's been described as a field of wildflowers, or something to that effect. St Paul, their artist-in-residence, and some college students (from St Thomas, I believe) are working on this project. Part of it is also research, trying to ...

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)

I saw a 3 car train traveling the length of 4th St in downtown St Paul a little over a week ago. It happened to stop outside tpt which didn't cause any problems.

Re: Happy Hour!

Bang Brewing is also located up on Capp Rd with limited tap rooms hours. That's also adjacent to True Stone Coffee roasters; not sure if they actually serve anything there though. The only thing I can think of for Robert would be the Cafe inside Regions. It's the only place in MN that I know of that...

Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map

Just an FYI, there is now a stop at Etna on the Gateway Corridor, between Earl and White Bear Ave. The east end of the corridor (Oakdale/Woodbury) is still undecided.

Re: 300 University (Old Home Dairy)

Drove by this site earlier this week and noticed fencing and a construction trailer on site.
Does anyone know if construction has actually started here yet?
Nope. And the trailer on site has been there for about a year now, I believe.

Re: Downtown Saint Paul Post Office

I received this in an email today, detailing the planned development of the post office into the Custom House. Apartments, a hotel, and parking are planned, with plenty of space still available for lease. This promotional piece looks impressive, and I look forward to seeing this landmark building tr...

I was actually going to snap a few pictures of this site today, but ended up going by too late and the sun was already down. It's going to be eye-catching for the campus.

Re: Gateway Corridor

Ugh. Eww. And, what about all the riders who are not suburban commuters? I don't think they'd agree that they'd rather walk to a park-and-ride, or a bench on the shoulder of the interstate. Maybe this is cheaper, but it's really not much better *quality* than what's already there.

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)

There were shelters at Oak and Washington last Tuesday, but nothing else...no heat, no trash cans, not even sure there was a bus stop sign yet.

Re: The Penfield - (101 10th Street East)

I walk by this almost every day going to and from Regions. Not a fan either. I think with trees, the upcoming Pedro Park, and some more development around this block, then it will look a bit better. At the end of the day, the additional residents the Penfield will bring is a pro that greatly outweig...

It looks like Tin Whiskers Brewing Company is opening their location in the Rossmer building in downtown St Paul, next to Sawatdee. This should be a great location, especially with the Penfield opening a block away. Brewery website: twbrewing.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TinWhiskersBrewingCo

Re: Green Line (Central)

I didn't follow this particular corridor from the beginning of its planning, or really paid any attention to transit corridors until about four years ago, but could the "LRT/Bus" label be a remnant of the planning stage before they picked a mode of transit for the Green Line? It seems far-...
