They want the vetoes. They'll be the centerpiece of their ad campaign for the 2018 governor's race.

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings

Credit card/Paypal processing fees are probably the reason for the all day rush hour rate and the $4.50 minimum. Also, from the google play page linked in the strib article - "Pay a single fare or multiple fares for a group of riders, and store multiple tickets on your phone for future use. &qu...

I don't think there's anything in the plan that doesn't meet the PO guidelines. from the latest project doc - "The site is currently zoned OR3 Institutional Office Residence District and C1 Neighborhood Commercial District and is located in the DP Downtown Parking Overlay District and the PO Pe...

The lawyer involved in most of these cases is currently going through a very contentious bankruptcy because of all the sanctions he's racked up related to the porn copyright trolling cases he was filing prior to moving on to the ADA scam. Also being investigated by the FBI

Re: Sunday Liquor Sales and other Beer/Liquor Legislation

The union thing is a red herring. The claim last time around was that one (unnamed) employer told the Teamsters that Sunday sales would (maybe) allow them to ask for a reopener. Presumably, Sunday sales might lead to Sunday deliveries and the current contract doesn't account for that given the curre...

That may be changing - http://www.mndaily.com/news/metro-state ... sing-rules

(Though they seem to be focused on groups renting from landlords rather than the group owning the property directly.)

Re: Nicollet Hotel Block

Study the facts and evidence grant1simons2. Both the Wells Fargo tower and Cappella tower were suppose to be near 1000 feet. (Capella 1100' WF 947') The city wouldn't allow neither to surpass the IDS. That's why Cleveland has the 947 foot keys tower. In mid to late 90s Target wanted to build a towe...

You're only going to get those prices on newish construction, which there's a bit less of in the suburbs, but they do exist - http://www.apartmentguide.com/apartments/Minnesota/Edina/71-France/100025749/ https://www.padmapper.com/listings/14680892.-1-bedroom-1-bathroom-Apartment-at-6800-York-Ave-S-E...

Re: Renting vs. Owning | Apartments vs. Condos

I bought in downtown in 2006 and sold in 2014 for about $6k more than what I paid in 2006. (so a decent profit given 8 years of equity) If I waited another year I probably could've raised the asking price 7-10%. Most everything downtown and the newer (2004+) buildings in Northeast and Calhoun/Uptown...

Re: 365 Nicollet - (Opus Ritz block)

obvious troll is obvious Except for the Wells Fargo tower 30 years ago, is there any evidence whatsoever that developers are clamoring to build taller buildings here but are being shot down by City Hall? (Note: Duval was shot down based on not having any discernable financials, not because his propo...

In Minnesota, a brewery can only fill growlers of their own beer. In Oregon a "growler refill station" is a third party retailer selling beer from multiple breweries.

Re: The Eclipse

I'm not saying parking stalls don't have value but *presumably*, your unit was advertised as having x stalls included in the price. Correct? Incorrect. For the most part, parking spaces in these buildings are treated as separate pieces of property, with their own purchase price, proptery tax and HO...
