Re: Rumors!
So in other words, Opus would be going from incredibly mediocre and underwhelming to incredibly superior and over-the-top fantasmic? What a 180!! The former shouldn't be approved by the city, whereas the latter (in its Nathan Foster forms, of course) should be eye-rolled a "yes, duh!" by ...

Re: Opus Ritz Block Development
Our friend, TexasRE, from another site, has informed us that bigger towers may be planned here. In the meantime, here's a rough model for the current concept: Download concept 1 https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/warehouse/getpubliccontent?contentId=e34c6e99-883f-4001-a2a9-b40265fa9da3 http://finance-...

Re: Downtown East Project (Ryan Companies / Wells Fargo)
The last I read, the residential portions, of both buildings, on the northeast side, were on hold. However, they wanted to start construction of them before finishing construction of the towers + residences on the southwest side (facing the park). phase i: office portions, park, and residences facin...

Re: 4Marq - (313' - 30 Stories)
^The windows, on both the Xcel HQ and 4marq, seem to have gotten grayed out. The windows were painted with a pattern. Sometimes, when loading models into google earth, a pattern will show up as just being gray. In that case, delete the model, in google earth (left side), and reload it. Doing other t...

Re: TCF Bank Building Redevelopment
^ we all have opinions. I love simple form. No top!
I was also trying mimic the simplistic form of the foshay. The foshay is an obelisk... a simple column. I tried to make a modern simple column..... focusing on it being a column and not what a column would support (a crown).

Re: TCF Bank Building Redevelopment
grant... you should upload it to the 3d warehouse... that way we can all view it in google earth. :) I created a mock tower for that site recently as well. This is what, I imagine, 44 floors at 15 ft per floor and 600,000 sq ft could look like: Download/view TCF Concept Model https://3dwarehouse.ske...

Re: Stadium Parking Ramp Air Rights Development
Initially the stadium would be the shortest of the structures. That was when the WF towers were planned for 301 feet (and the stadium was planned at 272 ft) However, the latest numbers have the WF towers around 260 ft. The stadium is still at 272 ft. The hotel/residential tower plan has yet to be su...

Re: Downtown East Project (Ryan Companies / Wells Fargo)
Information I got just recently from a Ryan super is the Wells Fargo towers will be 17 stories at approximately 260 feet. The hotel/apt tower on top of the parking ramp (which is 7 stories) will be an additional 17 totaling 24 stories at approximately 250 feet. The ramp is being designed to hold 17...

Re: Climate Change
Did anyone watch last week's Vice (HBO)? The first half of the 30 minute episode is about climate change. it was very interesting... look for it on your on-demand or piratebay or whatever you use. From that episode, this should be some very simple basic proof for climate change deniers: It is a fact...

Saying the science is settled doesn't make it so. But I do love that phrase. That's what they said to Galileo. I remember when Al Gore said the North Pole would be ice free by, when was it, this summer, last summer? Or when the Met Office said kids in England would grow up "not knowing what sn...
