Re: St. Anthony Village

Community meeting update: developers have hilariously added a pathway between the sidewalk on Stinson Parkway and one of the buildings "fronting" the street, because this is the kind of thing you can do when you propose a 95 foot set-back from the sidewalk. They've also added a remarkable ...

Re: St. Anthony Village

http://www.savmn.com/DocumentCenter/View/826 The group came back with a plan that is significantly worse. No street frontage to speak of. 51 affordable units vs 97 originally. A brand new large parking lot fronting a portion of the Stinson/Lowry commercial node. It would create a 90s-esque suburban ...

Re: Thrivent's Surface Parking Lots

After a brief glance, I would rather see the retail portion be at ground level as opposed to in the skyways. I'm not sure that a residential lobby will necessarily activate the street and put eyes on the street. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk One of the original proposals did have ground level ...

If that's not a project tailor-made to adequately address neighborhood 'concerns', I don't know what is.

All non-light rail transit should be free that Sunday.
HAH! Fare should be 50 bucks! Get those people to pay MORE for making our city a mess for a week!
Give all locals free full-day vouchers.

French was also the only at-large candidate who did not respond to the Our Streets Mpls candidate survey and the only at-large candidate who did not respond to the League of Women Voters survey. I'll be ranking some combination of Vetaw, Henry and Hogan.

Unfortunately, even if you do take issue with an Our Revolution candidate, there aren't really any great alternatives for Park Board At-Large.

Every delay costs money, so they're going to have to justify that the re-bidding will result in greater cost savings than the cost of the four-month delay.

Hmm, I don't have hard data, but it seems like Minneapolis is retrofitting intersections with bump-outs at a much higher rate city-wide than St. Paul these days.

Re: Cedar/Minnehaha/Franklin Intersection

Yeah that seems like a wholly unecessary diversion for what was once a straight shot if I wanted to head north into Cedar Riverside. Now to go North or West I have to go left through 22nd, and up Cedar to go straight or turn left. That and cutting off 20th so you can only turn right onto Franklin i...
