MLS needed a second team in the Southeast to join Orlando and there wasn't another feasible option for a stadium.

Looks like the last few reported months have exceed expectation. My guess is due to the new outlet mall.

If there were public funds from the county they've already stated that the sales tax revenues outpace projections for Target Field. It would take a simple board action to redirect those funds to the Farmers Market area.
