Re: Rochester Transit Line
Wouldn’t that be great if Rochester got bus only lanes before the cities! Go Rochester!

Can someone post the most recent planning commission documents for this development? Would like to take a look at the renderings.

Re: E Line Arterial BRT
There certainly needs to be better service near the Excelsior and grand area. Hopefully one of the arterial bus rapid transit lines will address that.

Re: E Line Arterial BRT
Not excited to see that there won't be a stop on the riverfront (e.g. Hennenpin/1st and 2nd or Main) not great for access to those destinations or transfer options in NE. Central & University/4th are both pretty hostile intersections and I don't trust MNDOT to improve them anytime soon (even wi...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Topics & Development Map
Anyone know the latest on the project just south of 10th St. and west of Hennepin? I thought they were supposed to start construction on two different hotels this summer?

They had a financing partner, why exactly did they pull out? Do we know why?

If it is dead, that’s really disappointing. I know how hard they fought the neighborhood Association. I don’t know anything about market analysis, or market trends, or even the state of our housing market, but maybe things are starting to slow down. Maybe this can be built in the next cycle. Re: Saint Paul - General Topics
I’ve only been there a few times, but from what I can tell that target does really well. With that being said, I wish they would re-develop the blocks closest to University. I believe it’s target that owns the parking lots immediately south of the Hamlin station.

Re: Federal Reserve Riverfront Parking Ramp
I don’t know exactly how feasible this would be, but what about running shuttles from the C ramp over to the building? I’ve thought about this with a lot of office developments in downtown. If you could run shuttles, people wouldn’t need to park so close to where they work. Walking five blocks can b...

Glad to hear this one is still working its way through the planning/preconstruction process. Hopefully construction starts on this one sometime next year. I always worry that we’re going to be hit with an economic slowdown, and some of these great developments won’t happen. Sent from my iPhone using...

Re: Target Field Station (the Hotel) & Target Field Station (the Station)
That last point, the one about a smart developer adding a convenient store to the bottom level of the building, is especially important to me. I don’t live in the neighborhood, but when I do venture up there on the light rail, it’s always nice to know that there is a gas station fairly close to targ...

Re: Public Transit News / Current Events (MN only)
I think I have asked this before, and maybe there’s not anyone out there who has a good answer for me, but I want to dig more into transit ridership numbers. We live in the modern day of technology. Where do I go to find out what the ridership trends have been over the past six months on a specific ...

Maybe some of these buildings will eventually be taken down and replaced with more mixed use establishments.

Does anyone know when the oldies will be opening at 26th and Lindale? Went by the building on the bus today and the outside looks mostly complete.

Re: North Loop Green - Hines - 350 N 5th St(?) - 36 stories / ~400'(?)
Not to be a Debbie downer, because I’m really excited about this project. I’ve walked by the area so many times and always find myself asking, when are they going to do something with this. This is really exciting! Even though the site is a parking lot, and should not take that long to get the neces...

Re: Federal Reserve Riverfront Parking Ramp
This ramp should have been wrapped in housing with significant ground floor retail. Had that happened, I would have no problem being OK with this ramp. A good example I can think of off the top of my head is some of the new Bloomington Central Station Apartments, although they did not add enough ret...

I’ve been asking myself about this project for a while. It just seems to be taking forever. I wasn’t sure if that was just me.
