I just dont know why at Golden Valley Rd they dont just head NW through Glen View Terrace Park, onto Theo Wirth Parkway to Bottineau. Right next to where North Memorial is.
From there stay on Bottineau to 36th Ave where you head east and reconnect with the current alignment. Is that too easy?

Re: Island Station
On the thread of the St Paul river plan I saw the mention of Island Station and ran across this website.
http://islandstation.com/index.html
From the design of the website I cant tell if it is a failed project or if it is currently active? It looks like half of the units are sold?

Re: Granary Corridor
Im glad that the trench could potentially be used more often and think the Greenway is a great option.
I always thought the Granary would be a great street car line connecting at the Central station, running down the corridor, onto main street possibly to Boom island?

Re: Junction Flats - (643 Fifth Street North)
Live close by and noticed half of the old building was torn down today with more to come. I personally would not choose to live there. Just driving down 6th Ave in the morning and evening it is tough to describe just how many buses are constantly turning into the Metro Transit. The buses will drive ...

Re: Downtown Restaurant News
Looks like two new restaurants planned One in the former Lone Tree Space. I think it was only a matter of time that this space was filled with all of the Twins traffic. http://www.journalmpls.com/news-feed/masons-moving-into-former-lone-tree-bar-space The other i believe is in a vacant building in t...

Re: The Interchange (At Target Field)
Not sure if this is the correct place for this or if it should have it's own thread but I saw this on twitter tonight. I wonder if Shapco is just growing and has the need for a larger space or if their "hunt for a new location" is being influenced by development plans for the area around ...

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
Right about here: http://goo.gl/maps/PvheD I never understood why the Cedar Lake station would not go here instead of 21st St? Its inbetween Isles & Cedar and doesnt seem as isolated as the 21st Station. Is it strictly because of 21st being closer to the beach? Does anyone have any insight?

Re: The Interchange (At Target Field)
Im ok with having the MTPD in that location but not at the expense of a lane of traffic. Are they really going to turn 5th St into a one way permanently? It is now during construction and as someone has already stated it is a MESS around the holiday gas station.

Re: Burch Pharmacy Building
Does anyone know where the owners plan on having people park? I love the idea of this restaurant on this corner, but even if they valet there is no parking lots nearby.
