It's site activity - the MetCouncil sewer work doesn't come near the parking lot - but stays in the lot south of Nawadaha. But is it site activity, or spillover from the sewer work going on the Hiawatha bridge?

I would think that's the overall total.234 total, or each tower having 234 units?

Re: Lake & Nicollet Redevelopment (Kmart site)
So bear with me: is there any chance they’d build a subway station here during this? Seems like if it’s ever going to happen, now would be the time. I know this is a long shot (and I’m sure there are plenty of reasons it won’t happen), but it’d be nice to see some foresight here from the city/count...

The rail focus for transit advocates in the city should be getting the Midtown corridor off the ground, and making sure that it is not a rinky dink one-car train stopping frequently at small platforms, when the density of activity in the corridor and dedicated ROW is suitable for light rail on par ...

The new maps are so out of scale that it makes the detour look awful.
How is the new map of this detour out of scale?
I think the reality looks far more awful.

Nope, the article mentions that the owner plans to look in the area, but this building will be apartments only. They are not looking to have any commercial or retail space in the new build.Do you think a pizza joint could make it in this location?

Okay I'm relatively new to the whole city-planning thing as I'm 23 and just found out about this stuff as a hobby, but what the heck are we thinking? Why would not every development along the river include some space for a restaurant, brewery, bar, winery, distillery with patio space so people coul...

It's a sewer vacuum truck. Not sure what it's there for - perhaps they are connecting to the main sewer line and needed it clear. Or something happened in the construction process that needed a vac truck.Any thoughts on what is going on here. I have not seen this truck before.

My guess is that the City Attorney has been heavily involved in this decision. The articles I've read have alluded to the city likely losing this battle in court. I'm not sure they want to spend the money fighting this - and I can't blame them.

The Burger King on W Broadway is going to reopen, their lawyers are asking for a variance for the drive-thru. This would be nice given how terrible the abandoned store looks. Burger King restaurants will reopen with drive-thru lanes, despite Minneapolis ban Guess they're having it their way.

Burger King should absolutely be denied. It has been closed for 18 months. As the rules state, this should not be allowed to open as a Burger King again. Zoning Board of Adjustment denied the request. It was a unanimous vote. I think they have 10 days to appeal ... Burger King restaurants will reop...

Also, is this Reuter Walton's first >6-story/non-stick apartment project? Not including WaHu which they built as part of CPM. If so, cool to see them taking on larger and more varied developments. I think so. Good on them for entering the high-rise space with a doable project instead of trying to j...

Maybe someone more savvy than me can find out more info... but there's now a dumpster in front of the old Cap's Grille. The property was staked in 2019, and the buyer (a farm-to-table venture) who bought it in June 2016 (it closed in Feb 2017, with the intent to reopen as a farm-to-table restaurant)...
