Re: MSP Airport
May not be done with announcements. Found on airliners.net. If this aircraft sits on the ground that long, it wouldn't make sense. Different operators. "The SAN-MSP flight (Horizon) will be sitting on the ground at MSP arrives at 7:50 p.m. It'll be sitting on the ground for 17 hours? Flights to...

Re: MSP Airport
Just to clarify, Southwest has offered seasonal non-stop service to Orlando, and they will be offering seasonal non-stop flights to Vegas starting this March. Correct. Southwest flies seasonally to Tampa, Ft. Myers, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale. LAS is seasonal March/April (ending 4/24). Short, but...

People flying out of T2 won't be able to afford to stay at the hotel. Problem solved. But seriously, the post office is in the way so they can't extend the tram all of the way to the hotel unless it's demolished. HA...I don't know about not being able to afford staying at the hotel. I've often foun...

Re: MSP Airport
Morning departure from MSP catches plenty of connection opportunities in Nashville. Return to MSP is evening so it acts as a connection back. Nashville has around 100 daily departures this summer on Southwest, while MSP is at 27. Nashville wouldn't otherwise have been my top choice to add, outside o...

Re: MSP Airport
Sort of. My understanding is Gate 13 is 13a and 13b, so it is like having 14 gates. But, on the mspairport.com T-2 map, it does list 13 and 14 separately. Have not been in the terminal lately to witness, however. To correct my earlier statement, Southwest is likely using 9-13 then and 14 is availabl...

Re: MSP Airport
Just an update on the new T2 gates they are now being used. They only seem to be used by SW airlines at this point.
Southwest will be using 8-12 and Sun Country 1-7. 6 will be used by Icelandair and Condor as well.

Re: MSP Airport
Will have Alaska, Delta, United, and Sun Country on SFO-MSP. Supposedly, Alaska will be twice daily. United uses smaller E175 jets, but will go to larger mainline during the peak summer season.

Common Use System Equipment ("CUSE"). MAC is looking to call the T-2 gates as such and no longer use CUTE as the acronym.

Re: MSP Airport
I have wondered the same thing re: new T-2 gates. I'm wondering if the big demand is Winter and then growth will methodically happen spring and beyond. Nothing to base that theory on, but I know winter tends to be busier for Sun Country. Southwest will have its usual seasonal destinations on the wee...

Re: Interstate 35W
DING! 494 should see the managed lanes before another corridor does.Is this a 4th lane in each direction? I'd rather MnDOT put those resources towards I-494 in Bloomington.
I believe you are correct about the 4th lane for 35W.
