Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News
Do they focus on breakfast or do they do some lunch options as well? Can't wait to have some more casual lunch options. Have only picked up stuff from them at Farmer's markets, and I think thats really mostly where they've setup shop, but they've only offered Bagels and Cream Cheese. Not to discoun...

There are signs in the windows of the old Hubert's on Chicago saying "Eric the Red" is coming soon. Erik the Red. Have a friend that is bartending there. They are branding themselves as a "Nordic Smokehouse specializing in Barbarian BBQ." Some more details from Stephanie March: ...

Re: Bicycle Infrastructure
Bike lane striped on Nicollet between roughly 60th (that I've observed directly) and down past 46th (that I've observed directly) - maybe more in each direction. I believe this will extend down to 40th, where the Blaisdell protected bike lane will end. Striping was removed on Blaisdell Ave S from 3...

Does anyone know whats going on at the corner of 28th & Nicollet at Marissa's Bakery. Just drove by to pick up Quang last night and noticed what looked like heavy construction on the 28th St side as well as some boarded up windows on Nicollet Ave as well. Looked like they were still open?

Was having a drink at Iron Door on Sunday afternoon and one of the managers was bartending. Chalk this up as a rumor, but, he said they had been told that a Chipotle was going in on that corner when they asked the crew putting up the scaffolding.

Re: Mayo Clinic Square
The best way I'd describe the feel of this place is almost like a Las Vegas Sportsbook without the gambling. It has a high-end feel, a wall of televisions and a more upscale menu. There is for sure nothing like it in downtown now and I imagine it will do very well as both a weekend/late-night spot a...

Side note on this corner. Can we talk about that daycare's slogan "Learning starts from the womb to the tomb"?? It has to be a lost in translation kind of thing... I drive by it every day and it just creeps me out. Also, hooray for filling in the lot! Nicollet south of Lake is becoming so...

Vellee Deli is making the move from food truck to brick and mortar, taking over the old Taco Bell location in the skyway (Baker Center). Hoping they keep later hours, as not working downtown has limited my ability to frequent their delicious food. https://twitter.com/VelleeDeli/status/51225996390198...

I generally dislike "we don't need another _______" arguments that some people make about whatever business they don't like, but man...enough sports bars already (Bulldog, Tap House, Herkimer just in LynLake)! I don't think the Cause situation was ever about "bros", gentrificati...

Versitalex, I feel your pain. On the 3500 block of Blaisdell Ave S and have have friends one block over who are all hooked up to Minneapolis Fiber.
Travis, any plans to expand coverage on Blaisdell Ave (right now you guys stop at Lake St.)?
