Hopefully this headline works out as is. This would allow the blue line extension to go forward.

Re: Rayette Building
I wouldn't call this end "dead". This is right next to the Farmers Market. Heartland anchors a corner a block east. There are already a couple cafe's(Black Dog and Golden Deli's) on the other corners. There will be plenty of room for more with the retail space in the Lofts at FM, O&M ...

Re: Red Line (Cedar BRT)
This is going to be a test. Can the burbs with better transit develop to become a little more like urban areas with more density and walkability?

Re: Rayette Building
It would be nice to also have a restaurant or coffee shop on this end of the park. Maybe they will have enough residents. This end usually seems pretty dead.

Re: West Side Flats
Very nice! I have been eying this site for the last couple of weeks looking for some work to start. This seems to be an area with huge potential, I hope it spurs some other developments too in this area. If 3M and some of the other office/industrial sites were to open up on the West side of Wabashsa...

Ayd Mill Road
Article in the trib today rehashing this old controversy in st. Paul. Mainly centering around the replacement of the Hamline Ave. Bridge. I have always thought that this could be made into an attractive parkway and still connect 94 to 35e. The challenge lies on the connection to 94 and where the spa...

Re: Gateway Corridor
Looking at the map for stations it should include one at Radio Drive in Woodbury too. There is a large amount of shopping in that area and many townhomes that could be walkable. If this gets built as signal priority and as a mostly dedicated right of way then it would be relatively successful. Hell ...

Re: Northstar
This may have been covered at some point in this thread, but have they considered putting the Saint Cloud Airport as a stop if the line is extended to Saint Cloud? Seems like it would make Saint Cloud Regional a more accessible reliever airport for MSP if people in Anoka and Sherberne counties were ...

Re: Selby and Snelling
I agree it is a cool building on a busy corner, but I am pessimistic about the neighborhood opposition that is probably coming. Soon, you won't even be able to build a snow fort in Saint Paul without your neighborhood complaining that it is too tall and doesn't have adequate parking

Re: Arterial Transit Corridor Study ("rapid bus")
This would be a great complement to LRT and expand its utility by making the major buslines efficient. I hope they do the Snelling one as a demonstration seems like they could introduce and test the concept here before trying it out on other routes!

Re: West Side Flats
Awesome! DT Saint Paul needs to get re connected to the neighborhoods that surround it but are cut off from it. It would be great if Wabasha was lined with apartments till it met up with District Del Sol rather than the low rise suburban style 1980s office buildings. Same thing for the w 7th area an...

Re: Walnut Street/James J. Hill Stairway
The stairway is hidden but is a great asset for the neighborhood I wish they would put some lighting on it and more people knew about it. Good workout if this area is on your running route!
