FBI moved out of 111 a year or two ago to their new place in the suburbs.

Re: Alatus St. Anthony Tower (Washburn-McReavy Site)
I was wondering to myself when we'd see something tall again on that side of the river, since Mill and Main 2 has taken the last prime riverfront spot. I hope we don't see 7 thru 9...absolutely awful.

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
I'm not going to be surprised at all at any accidents involving cars on the Green Line. The blue line has existed for 10 years now and I still see people driving down the tracks/stopping on the tracks on a weekly basis. I'm afraid the learning curve might take a while, especially for out of towners/...

Re: Xcel Energy HQ - (401 Nicollet Mall)
Xcel will be vacating Marquette Plaza in 2016 and consolidating in the new building and 414 with a skyway connecting the offices. There are also long term plans, 30+ years out, for 414 and the substation below it.I thought Xcel was keeping their old building and expanding to the new one? no?

Re: Downtown Office Market
there will never be a building over 1,000 ft in this town unless target wants one. hopefully they won't move more employees out to the 'burbs. the "super tall" speculation here of the past couple years was fun but not realistic. if u like mega buildings visit chicago. oh, and bill cooper ...

I have a high powered luxury sedan and I like to get out of the 494/694 loop and go golfing, fishing, and hunting. I do, however, walk to work everyday.

Chinese food downtown
Anyone know of any good Chinese food places open for lunch in the skyway...or on the street now that it's warm out? I've never really been able to find a consistently good place.

Re: Latitude 45 - (301 Washington Avenue South)
The gateway ramp looks full. I wonder what percentage is leased space versus daily rates, since they'll be making room for residents vehicles. Also hope the skyway gets an update, but it's on public ROW so it's probably city owned. Last time I was in there, the Volkswagen dealers were storing a ton...

Sure it can. Driving at freeway speeds I can get out of Minneapolis on 394 in about 2-3 minutes. You're fudging those numbers. An eight minute driving radius from downtown doesn't get you out of Minneapolis

Re: Nicollet Mall
And, sidebar, firepits? Really? I think that's a great idea in theory, but have they had any attorneys thoroughly think that one through? I don't like the idea of fire pits for the same reason, well, actually because I wouldn't want my kids to think it's fun to play with the flames. I DO wish there...

I don't think you would be able to see the falls from here, that peninsula with trees is in the way. /nitpick

It would be great for the area to get this site developed. It is a decievingly large site with a lot of wasted space. I didn't realize how big it was until I walked by it a few years ago.

My guess is it will start sometime in late March after the cranes are down for Nic on Fifth. I think that's when LPM's crane will come down as well. I think there has been some slow down in construction due to weather earlier this winter so all these projects need to play catch up. I'm also wonderi...

There is this master plan in the works. I went to one of the open houses a few months ago and talked with the planners, they were taking input and comment cards from everyone at that point. http://www.minneapolisparks.org/default.asp?PageID=1396 The park board owns the little strip of land in front ...

To my knowledge none of the Polad's have been found by a court liable in a civil racketeering case. I cannot remember a time when a Polad has been even accused of fraud. People tend to not like the idea of giving fraudsters a bunch of public dollars. They have. Claiming they needed taxpayers money ...

Sounds like when, not if something will get built.

Re: Major League Soccer in Minnesota
If we have learned anything from the Wilfs tenure as Vikings owners, it is that we cannot allow them to own another franchise in the city. They are one of the worst owners in the NFL. They try to run the team their way, even though they are absent from the state 95% of the year. Not to mention they...
