Re: Bloomington Central Station & "South Loop" area
Perhaps it is time to remove the quotation marks from the thread title? If the city of Bloomington refers to the district as South Loop, and Google Maps shows the area as South Loop, it isn't "South Loop" . I infer the quotation marks to have been added with an eye roll and a sneer,...

Re: Hampton Inn & Suites - (19 8th Street North)
Isn't it amazing how much the lighting helps? Also, when those trees mature this is going to turn out to look fairly nice. At least better than a parking lot!!! I agree. This building had all the hallmarks of looking a little too suburban for the area despite it's height, but the lighting and trees...

Re: Bloomington Central Station & "South Loop" area
I hate to break this to you, but Bloomington will never, ever, be a 3rd downtown. Re: Bloomington Central Station & "South Loop" area
I have not been over near the new Hyatt site in about a month, but according to the City of Bloomington's newsletter, the IndiGO apartments by Lennar on the adjacent parcel are "underway", and the city page page listing shows as updated in March 2015 with an anticipated start of constructi...

Re: Nye's Redevelopment - 100 block of E Hennepin Avenue
For anyone here or at OLoL that questions the how an historic church and modern tower can possibly get along without the church being irreparably harmed, a wonderful example is the 1999 Broadway building in Denver. What is being proposed for the Nye's Block is not nearly as extreme and therefore sho...
