1. A parking ramp at 3121 Chowen Ave S was approved in January. That could explain the construction.
2. The Calhoun Towers will be on the agenda for the July 16 Planning Commission.

The district court’s proposed order is that NEBL lose its $100,000 bond money (divided equally between Alatus and the city). The decision will be official on Friday.

That’s a good question because with that raised ramp going southbound on I35 I could not see how they could lower that pedestrian bridge 20 feet and not get too close.

This may be the last photo you see from this angle. They demolish the bridge tomorrow and the new bridge is 20 feet lower. I have thought the same thing many times as I drive by that area, “Was there a sale on black glass?” because all those buildings have that same color. Eleven will look like a giant white phallus sticking out from all those short black buildings.
