Re: Rumors!
Honestly the behavior of people here is kind of pathetic, and it keeps me from posting. People need to get posting bans occasionally, before this forum falls further.

Re: "A Line" Snelling Avenue Arterial Bus
however its also its a fast succession of buses arriving at stations . once these different routes get built out it will be much easier to categorize them as needed, both from a user and planning perspective. i think the important thing is to not change the branding of "A." changing the &q...

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
screw those people. most places look sketchy but really aren't that bad and looking sketchy means you get cheap amazing food. next time have a good lock or even bring your bike inside. my experience with family owned restaurants along university would result in the owners beating the crap out of any...

Re: Embarrassing Confessions of Urbanists
I have a sociology/political science degree and would eventually like to go to grad school for urban design. What are some essential readings I should look for? I've picked up Jane Jacobs, walkable city and high cost of free parking so far.

Re: Bicycle Infrastructure
and the newly installed bike lane/divider connecting pleasant to the Washington bridge doesn't get cleared because of the barriers. Biking solutions at the U should be cheap and require no new pavement,i dont get it. New bike count totals http://www.bikewalktwincities.org/sites/default/files/bwtc-20...

Re: Snelling BRT/enhanced bus
I know a lot of northwestern students and the vast majority wouldn't use an expanded bus route. The university doesn't try to integrate with minneapolis or roseville and is very insular and keeps its students busy, plus there are tons of cars on campus.

Re: U of M Bike Trail
Agreed that its not that bad of a connection, perhaps an example where the U isn't ideally integrated into the surrounding infrastructure. I've always wondered if there will be development on the open block north of the anderson library.

Re: U of M Bike Trail
Its a good way to get downtown but pointless for connecting to west bank since you have to down 19th ave which has construction right now, take west river parkway and up a huge hill or up the stairs by the anderson library. You're doing it wrong, look at my GPS track for the right way to do it. The ...
