Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
I did a quick search and didnt find anything, so I'm sorry if this topic has been discussed and I missed it, but has there been any movement to nickname the Stadium Valhalla? I think this would be brilliant and pay homage to the mascot, because when Vikings died in battle, they went to Valhalla. On...

Re: Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) Clinic Expansion
The aerial map seems to pretty strongly suggest that it's going to mean the whole block:

Re: 700 Central Ave. NE Apartments
Crossing Central at this address is awful; the only crosswalk is a fair way down the block, and cars really zoom through here. Hopefully if this development goes through, it'll prompt the city to look at some improvements here.

Re: The Graduate - (1300 block of 4th Ave SE)
City planner unconcerned Minneapolis city planner Haila Maze, the lead author of the small-area plan, labeled the scenario a “technicality.” She said it likely won’t affect the small-area plan or the ongoing historical study. “While the organization wasn’t formally formed, there was a bunch of peop...

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
Would that really be a huge loss? I'm always amazed by just how much street parking there is in this city, especially on arterial streets like Hennepin.

Re: The Graduate - (1300 block of 4th Ave SE)
Honestly, as a grad student who sometimes eats at the restaurants that Doran wants to demolish, I don't really mind the idea of the demolitions themselves. What I'm really afraid of, though, is that the rents on the ground-floor commercial spaces would be too high for those kinds of smaller restaura...
