Re: LPM Apartments - (1368 LaSalle Avenue)
Now I realize how huge it is, with the glass it makes the building seem a lot wider and fuller. What do you all think will happen to the red hair saloon right next to it. I like the saloon, it has been there forever, but now it's just an awkward building. The strip mall should change too, less parki...

Re: The Interchange
Is the max two? Is it going to just be an interchange of two trains?

Re: The Interchange
Also how many tracks are there going to be. Like I know the green and blue lines start on the same track, and the southwest corridor will too. but if they want to make a train come in from the left lets say (going through north loop) for example will it have to connect to the existing track somewher...

Re: The Interchange
I read the Startribune article saying this is like our grand central station, I think it is an awful comparison. It is not at the right location to be called that, grand central is in the middle of one of the busiest parts of new york. Ours is at the edge, in front of a stadium, right by the edge of...

Re: Nic on Fifth - (455 Nicollet Mall)
The garage will extend the rest of the way down 5th St Isn't a lot of that going to be used as retail though, like on street level of the garage? Also where is the entrance to the garage going to be located? The parking podium will stretch down 5th to Marquette, but you are correct in that the grou...

Re: Nic on Fifth - (455 Nicollet Mall)
I like the look of the building from this angle, adds a more dense city-like feel to this part of nicollet. If I counted correctly, five more stories to go. I also like that the garage part of the building is not any wider than the actual apartment part.

Re: Loring Park Master Plan
Off note, if I understand correctly, the setback on the Alatus tower is now moved to 5 feet, so that means it has to be only 5 feet from the next building? Not 15 as before?

Re: Downtown Office Market
@ Unity77, I can also add that small & medium size international firms (corporations) are very interested in the Minneapolis-St. Paul marketplace. I have a list of 700+ international retailers interested in downtown Minneapolis alone, as well. Now, not every retailer or corporate office is goin...

Re: LPM Apartments - (1368 LaSalle Avenue)
I like the look of the building, but I don't like that the big parking garage. Hopefully it will be covered up well, and the only thing to be seen is the retail. It is just awkward that the building is ovalish in shape but not touching the street, like the part that is touching the street has no peo...

Re: Uptown Development Map and General Discussion
Still too many gaps, but like you say it's improving. Also, when you walk around at the ground level the area is starting to have a more dense urban feel. I'm optimistic in a few years many of the remaining vacant lots will be filled. The striking Mozaic phase 2 should raise the design bar to impro...

Re: Uptown Development Map and General Discussion
It's funny, that view makes me think of a small Minnesota town/city. Not like a true big city district. It makes me think of St. Cloud or something along those lines, not a major city. But the development going on in the different parcels helps encourage me.

Re: LPM Apartments - (1368 LaSalle Avenue)
They build parking because they have the space to do so and they do understand that people still use cars. But like its an option of having a parking spot, you don't have to put a car in it.

Re: Van White Memorial Bridge
Don't forget this isn't the finished project. Like they still have a lot of planning to do, and they may change the parking ramps to something else, how do we contact that development team. They said "Does this fulfill your expectations?" or something along those lines. Next, it won't be c...

Also they did very well in designing the courtyard/alley where the bar sits. Very nice sculptures and well designed for cars and pedestrians.

Re: North Loop Neighborhood
Second part, thank you that makes sense. Now why is it the value of the property increases or decreases, like why is it based on that? Like its gonna be if the property increased in value the tax stays the same an then the lower valued properties get lower tax, or is it flipped?
