Re: Century Plaza redevelopment - 330 South 12th St
I vaguely paid attention during all that drama, so for all intents and purposes, what's the deal with that image? Was it an actual real concept image, or an elaborate fake rendering?

I don't really see this as a huge letdown, this is a nice looking usable building.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Riverfront - Mill Ruins Park - Waterworks
More history: From a MNHS Article MNHS Article : Had explorer Hennepin arrived a few ticks of the geologic clock later, there would have been no falls for him to rename. Less than 1,000 feet upstream from the cataract, the limestone that capped the soft sandstone ended. Had the falls eroded this far...

Interesting reading about Spirit Island on this page: https://www.esci.umn.edu/courses/1001/1 ... GES/2.html
Basically a variation of Avatar. A spiritual place, mined and destroyed by the white man.

Having 100 beers is just a cop-out. Pick 20 good beers. The fact that you have 100 taps just means that you've got money to waste on unnecessary taps and an unwillingness to exert any editorial control over your beer list. Just another bar that has to work with the same distributors that every othe...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Macy's Building
I'm bummed about this. Love the 12th floor eating area. Love the few holiday events on the 8th floor. Because I walk through it every day, it's probably the only place I've shopped for clothes in the last few years. I really hope the women's bathroom is preserved in some way. it's classic, as well a...

Re: 700 Central Avenue Northeast Apartments
Oh wow, I didn't notice that exterior is actually a brickmold half circle arch.. That's even more strange! Half circle exterior, eyebrow inside.. wierd. Edit, I see the back side of the building has on the exterior side the archtop windows. I'm assuming at some point a new brick facade with the half...

Are they also doing changes to the street level? I like the area at street level (all the flowers look nice), but it's not useful. I wish they had more areas to to sit and enjoy nice summer weather. Especially with the majority of food trucks moving over in that area, I really wish US Bank, and 5th ...

I like the arches, but it might look better if the entire arch was all window (Or filled in like the big corner windows) instead of being broken up by so much brick at each level.

Re: Stadium Parking Ramp Air Rights Development
My only reason for posting was to show that it is still labeled as "on the boards" which is what block 70 says as well. Whatever that means I don't know. Not trying to derail, but just saying to consider it may be a rendering of a dead idea. Though the fact that 70 is a recent upload is in...

I'll keep my expectations low, the partnering company: Humphrey's and Partners also list this as still "on the boards", which is obviously not for this location. http://humphreys.com/project/washington-ave-tower/#project-tabs1 edit to remove image tags http://www.humphreys.com/wp-content/u...
