Re: Suburban Transit
I've been hoping that after the Riverview LRT/BRT gets built through the airport and MoA that we'll then see a proposed extension take it along 494 all the way to a connecting SW LRT station in Eden Prarie. Out of the entire 494/694 loop, it seems like this section holds the greatest potential.

Certainly fixes the issue if you manually log in first. I find myself only logging in when posting though and bet many others do the same. Not a big deal, just wanted to point it out.User Control Panel > Board Preferences > Summer Time/DST is in effect: ( ) Yes ( X ) No

Re: Uptown General Topics & Development Map
Did you ever go inside? Ridiculously overpriced painted faux antique crap. There were a few good pieces from time to time but for the most part everything looked quite amateurish, not just in appearance but also in build quality. It amazed me how they were doing so well. It'll be interesting to see...

My final off-topic comment on Marla's. Here's the episode of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives that they were recently featured in:

There have been at least two Indian restaurants in that building since I moved to the area and they've both struggled. Marla's relocated to 38th & Bloomington: http://www.marlascuisine.com It's much much more Caribbean than Indian now. Still very very good food! There's frequently a wait for a ...

They'd need the lot to the south at 3005 Emerson Ave S as well, wouldn't they? It's currently just a parking lot.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Topics & Development Map
The city is getting the app for free. This is how the developer makes money. A more transparent way to handle it would be for the developer to explicitly charge the city for development, maintenance, and support of the app. This 25 cent fee does seem like gouging and is far too open ended. With exp...

We should also subsidize a new Pizza Hut so they can finally get pizza delivered to their $1.3 million dollar 21 acre mansion on the prairie! For the love of god, these people deserve better!

Re: Bicycle Infrastructure
Anyone have any idea how frequently Nice Ride MN is rolling out new stations? Are they happy with the current infrastructure and in a mode where they only add new stations if they believe there's enough new demand for a specific area? Or, are they still in a "build-out" phase adding new st...

Travis, appreciate your transparency through this process on this board. You've proved time and again how much I'd rather work with a company like yours than one of the mega-providers. I couldn't agree more. It's incredibly refreshing to deal with a local company providing an affordable top of the ...

So is this about as generic of a 38th/Nicollet thread as we have? Yup. We already have a 38th St thread. It'd be nice if this thread morphed into a Nicollet south of Lake St thread. The Eat Street thread is pretty much Nicollet north of K-Mart. http://www.startribune.com/man-dies-after-being-found-...

Just speculation, but maybe it sets them up for a faster more efficient roll-out in 2016?I don't think it's been asked yet... Why is USI doing roughly every other street, rather than filling in an entire area before proceeding?

The food truck's been in operation for a few weeks now, sitting in front of the store. I was surprised to find out that they open early and serve breakfast. A perfect one-two punch with coffee next door at Five Watt! A nice article about this in the Southwest Journal: http://www.southwestjournal.co...
