Re: 2020 Presidential Election
I find Amy to be a very MN politician. Center left, isnt bold but always know what to do to get things done. I voted early in the primary so she got one vote. Nothing big has happened since 2010 in congress so I will take small victory's vs nothing even if I want those large victory's.

Re: George Floyd murder and aftermath
This is a major change and if you want people to support it you need to show us in great detail what comes next. Im all for major reform or even doing what Camden NJ did. But you say we need this power and will figure it out later seems backwards. Show me your plan and then I can make an educated de...

I agree. Im curious to see how they manage to make it work with the parking ramp. Either way it will be a huge improvement over an empty lot and a parking ramp.

Re: George Floyd murder and aftermath
The councils plan is a vision with zero details. Going to be a no vote from me as I don’t vote for a nice vision of the future at the city level I vote for results and details. We need real change in the MSPD not what they just passed. Also yes I call the cops if something happens. Not sure why anyo...

Re: Duffey 2.0 - 3rd St N
Any would be a huge win for the area as both target and whole foods are a hike away. I dont see Hyvee as they are more catered to large formats in the brubs(and have slowed there expansion here) but an aldi like the one in lynlake or a small format cub would be great.

Re: George Floyd murder and aftermath
I don’t think a roundabout would work there as it’s just too tight. Maybe buy cup foods but then that’s taking away a grocery store in an area that just became a food desert. I guess I would just put a plaque there and rename the road. Also rename a park and move the memorial there as well as add a ...

Re: Edmund Blvd
I guess I assumed it was named after Edmund Burke. If not I think the name can stay but the person who it is named after can change. Edmund Burke proposed a bill to ban slaveholders from being able to sit in the British House of Commons claiming they were a danger incompatible with British liberty a...

Re: George Floyd murder and aftermath
St Paul is not jumping in this bandwagon. https://www.startribune.com/st-paul-leaders-show-little-appetite-for-abolishing-police/571160712/ The mayor is withdrawing from talks with the union which will put pressure on Kroll. The MSPD has such low approval rating right now I think the public is on th...

Re: George Floyd murder and aftermath
Bob Kroll needs to go. He should never have been in a position of power but he is. I know some large companies are stepping to help and alot of fundraising has taken place(I heart lake street is just under 6 million raised) but lake street is still in a massive hole imo. Also its pretty obvious the ...

Re: George Floyd murder and aftermath
I have to agree everyone underestimated how bad it would get but it was clear to me Thursday morning driving and walking along lake street that there was a huge risk of it getting worse. I can’t seem to understand why the curfew wasn’t enforced Friday night as well as the highways being blocked off....

Re: Twin Cities' National and Global Image
It was reported one person came in from Illinois for the soul propose of causing damage. How many besides this one guy is all over the place. I think it only takes one person when emotions are high to cause a panic in a large group. Outside of that I agree its just hard to tell and we may never know...
