Re: Soccer Stadium and Snelling-Midway Development
http://www.startribune.com/minnesota-united-makes-a-last-ditch-stadium-push-at-capitol/378659041/ So, the most interesting part of the article are the comments. Some people just don't want the stadium to be built. Their position seems to be based on some philosophy that the stadium group is receivin...

Re: Prospect North Gardens - 2901 4th Street SE (Cornerstone development)
The website was so vague that I sent an email asking for a timeline on the project. The response I got was "we have decided to sell the land instead of build on it ourselves".

Re: Cornerstone Prospect Park Development - 2901 4th Street SE
So if they are bull dozing and excavating on the site now, does that mean that construction is imminent? I looked at their website and didn't see any specific dates. This prospect park LRT station is going from zero to amazing in just a few years.

I think that the merchants bank building is very charming.... that would be a nice addition to the downtown residential mix. Super cool high altitude skyway too.

Re: Saint Paul - General Topics
A ways back there was news that the white building adjacent to the iconic 1st Bank tower was sold and something other than office space planned. It has the cool copper skyway that connects like 10 stories up. When I first saw the article my hope was that it was for that. Anyone have any intel on tha...

Sally's, for example reopened in the same spot.
But some things are irreplaceable. I don't know how they will replace that *seasoning* in the kitchen of Village Wok. Ehem.

Good question...a nice start would be to get some indie films going in the movie theater again (assuming that they still exist).

I hope this thing finally dies. Or some one takes it out back and shoots it. Can we just call it a loss and stop throwing good money after bad?
The logic that we must stay the course reminds me of that *awesome* $400 billion F-35 fighter jet that can barely fly.... but now we are stuck with.

Re: I'm on a Boat!
The article doesn't mention how many stops are planned per year in St Paul, but Viking had said that they planned 60 per year. My hope is that they integrate the SPUD with the future river balcony, and then use Lamberts Landing. It would get more people using SPUD for what it was recently remodeled ...

Oxcarts new rooftop patio looks very nice. I never would've guessed that this ugly parking ramp could have become anything more than an eyesore.

Once again let me state I think this whole thing is a waste of money and they should put the money towards Riverview or the Rush Line instead.[/quote]

Re: Saint Paul - General Topics
I think making 4th a bike/ped only works pretty well west of Jackson. I took a stroll down there and noted there are a few areas which they would have to allow auto traffic. The new Sibley Square apartment kitty corner from SPUD for example. Their parking garage is on the corner of 4th and sibley wi...

Re: Major League Soccer Stadium
In the yesterday's Minnpost article about the legislative session, it said that in all likelihood there will be no legislative movement on the soccer stadium until the end of session. So that has everyone waiting until at least May(?) to make a move. I guess nothing is slam dunk these days, so a lot...

Re: Northern Lights Express
I wonder what the chances are that sometime that down the road this could also make a stop at SPUD. Might increase ridership and help to utilize the underutilized concourse.
