Re: Proposed Crown Hydro Plant
Plus, the state is making such great progress adding wind and solar renewables. Agreed, this project would only produce 3.4 MW and we can easily make that much clean energy from two typical 2 MW wind turbines. That’s a drop in the bucket compared to what’s being developed in the Midwest (1400 MW of...

Re: Hi-Lake - Minnehaha Mall (Target, etc.) - Downtown Longfellow
I noticed that the car detailing store at the SE corner of Lake-Hiawatha looked like it was empty this morning, no cars in the parking lot (there usually are tons) and it looked pretty empty on the inside. Anyone know what's going on there?

When I drove by last night there was a backhoe next to the gas station at 3800 24th Ave S (where Yellow Tree proposed a 4-story apt building). Demo soon perhaps?

And there's also this tidbit from the article... The Wilfs acquired the surface parking lot at the corner of Park and Washington Avenues in 2007 — long before construction of the U.S. Bank Stadium began — when they bought a small portfolio of parking lots from Central Parking. They also own two adja...

Wow with this 17-story tower, the 22-story tower a block to the west, the 13-story Ironclad building two blocks east, and the 43-story condo tower a few blocks east... there's quite a change in the skyline in this part of downtown!

That would be awesome! What's the story on the source of this? (Not trying to be critical, I'm just curious about how much i should get my hopes up)

Re: Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board
It’s worth noting that the 18 MW capacity of the dam is only as much energy as 9 typical 2 MW wind turbines running at capacity, or about how much energy 20 of those turbines would generate in a year in MN...a rather small wind farm. It’s a drop in the bucket compared to how much we’re gaining from...

Plus the exit from 35W south to Lake St could help siphon off some people that may go from westbound 94 to Hennepin/Lyndale. Some would go westbound 94 to southbound 35W to Lake. I don't know if it would be that many people, but I could be one of them on some days.

Re: Furnace / HVAC in older homes
We have a 1 1/2 story bungalow that gets full sunlight throughout the day, and it gets quite hot in the converted attic. We are getting a new metal roof that is less reflective (and stores less heat than an asphalt roof) with spray foam insulation under the roof deck...we'll see shortly if that make...

I hope this study shows promise! Something like this should help car traffic to flow a bit better on Hennepin as well, since the right lane backed up from all the busses coming in and out of the lane

I meandered over to ESPN.com for a minute and noticed that ESPN thinks this building is already there...
Or they just used a file image from the Super Bowl bid or something along those lines...

Interesting, that could result in somewhat reduced gridlock from international visitors if it were to be held so close to the airport.

I'll take you at your word since you are in fact a real person with a non-bot twitter account etc.I'm not really certain I can say. It's people who were very close to the Prospect Park proposal.
It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out! Thanks for the info.

Just curious where you heard/read that from, I randomly spoke with someone who works for Greater MSP and he seemed to imply that Prospect Park was the site. Could be wrong...Prospect Park is out
