Re: Seven Corners Gateway Site
From this story: http://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/print-edition/2014/09/05/opus-hopes-to-double-down-on-seven-corners-site.html - rest of it is behind a paywall though "Neither proposal has been made public yet, but Minnetonka-based Opus has proposed a building that would be a maximum of a...

Re: Thresher Square Hotel & Apartments - Washington & Chicag
The developer said the prospective grocer insists on the skyway because they hope to draw college students riding the LRT to the near station and walking the skyway to it. *shrug* Could be Aldi? Or CVS? Or, Fresh Thyme Farmers Markets? They're opening one of those in Bloomington at Penn American Ph...

Re: St. Louis Park - General Topics
Seems like Duke is sort of playing it both ways, saying they plan to be a pure industrial, but yet not willing to give up on the office development opportunity at 100. Likely that if somebody comes by with a big-enough offer, Duke would sell the whole site - including the office development land.

Has anybody done a decent 3-D layout/rendering/massing for the 4th and Marquette block with the Nic/Xcel/4Marq? If so, do you have a link?

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
I agree - kitchens, floors everything looks nice. The one thing that would make me nervous as a renter is the location in a part of town that isn't exactly hot right now.The layout of some of the end units - very, very oddly shaped rooms - so if you like right angle furniture - well, good luck.

Re: Stadium Parking Ramp Air Rights Development
My guess is the Radisson Red died because something wasn't working out with the MSFA's parking ramp plan. Ryan/Radisson needed the parking spaces and the design of the ramp to work with the hotel (mostly regarding sharing spaces, but also on interconnecting the design), but the stadium/NFL folks did...

Re: Downtown East Project (Ryan Companies / Wells Fargo)
I continue to be geeked out by the inconsistency of the renderings posted with all Yard-related stories in the Strib, MinnPost, and elsewhere. Do you mean the renderings from 2013 that show the streets closed 100%? Those are Ryan's first renderings that are still being trolled out to illustrate the...

I heard this project should be under construction by June 11. Look for the big equipment to arrive this week and post a photo if you see anything.

If Code42 does bring more than 1,000 workers into Uptown, I wonder what some of the ripple impacts (positive or negative) will be from this project on things like parking, restaurants, retail, housing, hotels, transit, office market, etc.
Thoughts?

Re: 1000 block of Hennepin Ave & Hawthorne Ave for sale
That area of downtown really needs a name/brand along the lines of North Loop, Mill District, Downtown East, Elliot Park, Loring Park, etc. That's what probably killed the Viking's stadium push there - when they were calling part of the land the "Basilica Site." Love the Opera House idea, ...
