It's a different angle. I doubt it was ever going to appear 'soaring', with or without the 6 stories. Renderings usually show you what they want you to see.

Yes, it was taken down over a year ago before this project was announced. The rear of the building will have an outdoor walled garden I believe.

Ok, can't read the finance and commerce article, but, we knew they bought property across lyndale voiding the large flanders cycle/ liquor store project. So did they purchase parcels of the TJs project?

The difficult part will be creating affordable retail spaces in new construction. I don't see another Apple store or even a Noodles & Co. with their flexible corporate dollars opening here. The intersection is currently almost exclusively a lower income retail node drawing from the working class...

I believe they have and agreement with a lot at lyndale and Franklin. Probably the vision loss services which is empty in the evenings. From there the Valets can easily run up through the little park by the bicycle bridge to the restaurant.

Not to mention stick built is LOUD. If you want to listen to your neighbors all night, wood frame is the way to go.

It's just siding, it can only go so high without collapsing. There aren't any masonry walls to attach the brick to.
