Like all crime data, the number is basically made up--I wouldn't worry about the chart. The situation has been steadily improving for about a year, though my personal "days since experiencing a train fiasco" counter is only at five.

No one at any level of anything is going to get in trouble for it taking five times longer and it costing five times more than it should, but a lot of people will get a piece of the delay and overrun.

better social safety net, transit not being seen as a place of last resort I wish we could have a conversation around these things instead of having to convince people who never ride transit not to spend all our transit money on useless gates and fences. Which I also haven't heard much about--there are non-garbage ways to produce steam (there are other steam plants downtown) but presumably the electricity for that comes from somewhere?

You generally have to do the companion certificate pretty far in advance. They've gotten real stingy with it. Had to layover in Atlanta like an animal on the way back from North Carolina on Sunday.

Can't blame them for not foreseeing the pandemic, but the county spending fifty million on the Thrivent building (and taking a half block of downtown off the tax rolls) at the same time the city was building a new office building across the street was a real missed opportunity.
