Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Topics & Development Map
Sidenote though. It seems like the time left on the Wells Fargo data center may be limited. Looks like there are eyes on it for redevelopment. Dear god I hope so. That place hits the terrible design bingo. No street-level activation, not even windows. One door, set way back from the corner. Parking...

Should start in the spring. They just secured a location to move the building temporarily.Any rumblings about this lately? We could use another job or two this spring.

Re: RBC Gateway (Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 519'
I'm quite certain that the Four Seasons will be just fine. This change was factored in a long time ago, and it's not like they're paying money for space they won't be able to use.It amounts to about a 20% decrease. When businesses operate on the margins 20% is significant.

Re: RBC Gateway (Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 519'
Seems like the loss of the hotel rooms would effect the economics for Four Seasons? I'm curious if they thought they couldn't support more. The reduction from 280 hotel rooms to 222 is nothing new, they included the lower number in their press release in late spring. Also, the lower number is a non...

I was in Salt Lake over the weekend and noticed a bunch of electric Razor scooters with seats and small baskets. Didn’t even realize Razor still existed or that they were in the scooter share market but they are:

I'm in the camp of tear the Public Service building down. I dread every time I have to go in that building. The City of Lakes and Minneapolis Public Service buildings are good remnants of the period. I only hope they can find someone that would want to use them with out destroying the shells.

Re: Federal Reserve Riverfront Parking Ramp
So ridiculous, there is literally a parking ramp another government group wants to tear down. We would be better off letting them use that instead of building a new ramp. Tearing it down to make a wider connection to the riverfront don't seem that amazing of a plan that it be worth wasting money te...

I tried to fill up at Whole Foods but they wouldn't let me....1. No, we should not have gas stations downtown. You can fill up literally anywhere else.
2. The best way to get these sites redeveloped is a land value tax.

I really hope we see two buildings on this space, so we can fix that sharp turn on the Cedar Lake Trail! However still leave a trail ending segment to go over the railroad bridge that one day when were ready to expand the trail across the river. .000000001% chance of that ever happening. They'll ne...

Re: Rafter - 333 Hennepin Ave E (290' - 26 stories)
And when we enter into a recession, or if lenders merely become increasingly uneasy over concern that one might begin, you can bet that the ranks of pretty buildings that don't exist will grow. Fixed. At this point I'm hoping as many projects as possible break ground and get vertical before the eco...
