Re: Mall of America - Bloomington

Yeah there's the Trylon and Riverview isn't a bad walk either. I meant the first run theaters like Block E and MOA.

Re: Uptown Retail & Restaurant News

I love New Bohemia but haven't been to the Lyn Lake location. Great food and great beer selection.

Re: 38th Street Corridor & 38th St Station/Lander Development

Yeah, I saw they had a couple trackhoes on site. I'm looking forward to this one. Any rumors on retail tenants yet?

Re: Mall of America - Bloomington

Bummer, no more theaters on the Blue Line now. I wonder if they'll build one in the next phase.

Re: Fiber Internet and TV Services, Cord Cutting

Over on Reddit he said they aren't putting them online this time around. Apparently Comcast and Centurylink sales people were spreading false info about USI in the neighborhoods they were going to be installing? He hinted the first phase of 17 will be that area in SW that I think was supposed to be ...

Anyone tried USI's TDM internet? I'm going to give it a try when my Centurylink contract runs out.

Didn't they try 11 stories at that one just a bit west of this one and got shot down?

Re: Fiber Internet and TV Services, Cord Cutting

Is it just me or was there a 2016 Phase 3 that was removed from the map? http://fiber.usinternet.com/fibermap.php I feel like there were some areas shown for expansion that are not anymore. I really hope they are able to get all of Standish-Ericsson done in 2017 (everything north of the creek anywa...

Re: Cedar Ave - Nokomis Area

(image0 While I'm ranting, the traffic flow in this image makes no sense either. If we're going to have drive through coffee on each side of the street, we should be minimizing left turns and primarily encouraging people to use the one on the right side of the street (yeah, I know fans of over-pric...

Re: A Line - Arterial Rapid Bus

I took the A line on Friday afternoon, also getting on at 46th Street Station. The bus pulled up a little bit late, we all started getting on as another A line bus pulled up behind it. We were told the 2nd bus would be leaving first and we should board that one. So we all get on that one and the dri...

Re: Fiber Internet and TV Services, Cord Cutting

So my wife wants me to record the Women's Gymnastics trials this weekend and later, the Olympics. In the past I've used various incarnations of MythTV but I'm just fed up with trying to keep that working. It seems like it doesn't support newer tuners well at all. I had an HDHomeRun working for abou...

Re: Fiber Internet and TV Services, Cord Cutting

Or just get CenturyLink, they're $30 for the first year (and I'm sure if you threaten to cancel every year you could keep the $30 price).
That's what I did. USI should be in Standish Ericcson next year. Century Link ran fiber in my alley about a month ago. No one's tried to upsell me yet.

Re: 38th Street Corridor & 38th St Station/Lander Development

I'll pick up some groceries when I go to Everett's, but meat is obviously the main reason for going there. They do have a pretty good selection though for the size of store. The others listed are convenient stores. I would LOVE a grocery store in 38th Street Station area.

Didn't 38th get a mill and overlay 4 or 5 years ago in this area?

Re: 38th Street Corridor & 38th St Station/Lander Development

Interesting, that's the first I've seen of a building on the south side of 38th. I wonder if they have a plan for that or are just showing the potential of the site.
