I'm really liking all the density added over along Wooddale. Should play nicely with the LRT.
Edit: BTW Nick holy hell you got around today. I feel like we owe you gas money.

Anywhere from .3 mi as the crow flies to over .5 depending on the angle of the dangle. Yeah, not that far at all, but these are suburbanites we're talking about. They only walk at the gym (after driving there). Yea tell me about it... I've had to turn down quiet a few well paying jobs because they ...

Looks like the developer heard many of your concerns over the decrease in height so they are now choosing to place it on top of a large hill to make up for it.

Re: Star Tribune Blocks
I can't really see anything tall being built here. If they wanted to build something tall it seems to me they'd be looking somewhere else (like the Ritz Block). Apparently one block alone isn't enough to satisfy their insatiable hunger for downtown property... Dun dun dun. I don't see why something...

Thread Titles
This may be a little nit picky... In the suburbs forum some post titles include city names, while others do not. Is there anyway we could streamline this? Example, make titles: "Colonnade Apartments- Golden Valley" Also what are peoples thoughts on the way the titles at SSC work? How they ...

Re: Forum Etiquette
Look, Sometimes it might truly be best to split threads. For example one thread could be about current updates and news on the Southwest Corridor LRT, and another could be for bickering and arguing about how terrible and pathetic the design is. Cause it seeeeems like to me it gets increasingly hard ...

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
I hate to interrupt but Minnpost has an article talking about Minneapolis's view of the Southwest LRT line. Seems as though they don't want the freight trains either (big surprise) They do mention that although the tunnel at seventh street won't work, it will likely be replaced by a bridge. They als...

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
the desire for little to no P&R space at Town Center and Golden Triangle Stations. The last one caught me off guard, as most suburban planners and politicians seem to have insatiable appetites for parking spaces. Eden Prairie actually has a very well done and comprehensive plan to create a walk...

Re: Hwy 100
Maybe I'm missing something... Why is there a left turn lane on the ramp going from SB 100 to 7? Wouldn't the cars going west on 7 just use the ramp that goes directly from SB 100 to WB 7 in the top right corner?

Re: Intercity rail to Chicago
In fairness I can totally see the Hwy 212/101 interchange being necessary in Chanhassen, if/when that SW area finally develops to its potential. I'd much rather have the infrastructure in place for once instead of always trying to chase it like we do now. I can see Hwy 212 becoming fairly congested...
