Re: Lake & Fremont Apartments (Cheapo site) - 1300 West Lake

It's odd that Target is sticking to the small store format, when Walmart is getting out of it. The Bentonville Boys are closing all of their Walmart Express stores by the end of the month, as part of their first mass closing in company history(269 stores in all both in the U.S. and Internationally, ...

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

With news that Luke Bryan is coming to play US Bank Stadium this August as the first concert(YMMV as to whether he's a BIG name artist), we can pinpoint when the Vikings' first preseason home game will be. It is now absolutely certain that the first game will take place during Week 3, possibly a nat...

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

The seats, at least on the East side, are getting covered up by tarps on interior cams 3 & 4. Speaking of seats, anyone know why they took out two sections of seats next to the future Club Purple? Expanding it, perhaps? Or possibly removed for something else?

Re: CHS Field (St. Paul Saints Ballpark)

Has Midway Stadium been demolished yet? Haven't heard anything recently and hardly ever get over to that area.
It's demolished alright. Saw most of the stadium gone when I saw it on one of the express buses leaving the State Fair this year.

Sorry, no pics.

I'm guessing that the proposed Bass Pro Shop has been dropped, or is still in the future.

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

and apparently week 2 will be off limits due to light rail construction downtown. Care to elaborate what this means - and why they know about this "construction" a year in advance. Feel free to answer in the Transportation thread - thanks! Regular maintenance for light rail. I have notice...

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

They could just have it Monday night Sept 12. Or the preceding Thursday night if they win the Super Bowl :D As much as I would like to agree with both sentiments, I'm not sure it's possible to have a week one opener. Probably dependends on what the construction schedule looks like and whether or no...

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

One thing that bugs me and it's pretty obvious in pictures including the ones I posted, is the fact that the silver accent or whatever you want to call it doesn't align from panel to panel. My OCD hates this. I'm not sure how much they can do to fix it. Seems like they'd have to do some fairly majo...

Re: Mall of America - Bloomington

Burger King, Qdoba, Great Steak, Panda Express and A&W are now open in the Culinary on North area, so it looks like most of the old food court will re-open. Meatball Spot and Little Tokyo, plus the new Piada space haven't opened yet.
