Re: City Center
We can dream for a Downtown Nordstrom, right? Wouldn't that be terrific. Instead well probably watch it become a Wal-Mart or something of the sort. The Nordstrom in downtown Indianapolis just recently closed, and they had a beautiful location at the Circle Center Mall which is one of the most succe...

Re: UrbanMSP-esque sites in other cities
Indianapolis' scene mostly exists on SSC. But http://urbanindy.com/ is one of the most popular city-centric blogs.

Re: Living in Loring Park area?
Yeah, $1,300 is a little higher than I'd like to pay, sure, but it includes all utilities plus cable and 6mbps high-speed internet (or an equivalent discount if I choose to upgrade that.) Factoring that into the price, that's easily a couple-hundred dollars that I'd normally be spending additionall...

Re: Living in Loring Park area?
Loring Park = Great, but like others have said, parking is tricky if you don't have your own spot. I do get the sense that One Ten Grant is probably overpriced though. It might be because, as some posters said, Target is paying for a lot of the apartments. $1,300 seems like a lot for a one bedroom ...

Re: Living in Loring Park area?
Loring Park is great, and so is North Loop, North loop is going to have a lot more retail shops and restaurants. In Loring Park, I find you have to go to Downtown in order to find a variety of shops or food, and a lot of downtown closes when the offices close. North Loop is definitely "open la...

Re: Stadium Parking Ramp Air Rights Development
I'm not in the area yet so I'm not familiar. I'm curious, can I get a pic or an address to Streetview?Ugh, I cringe every time I see that building. The Mortenson reminds me of the LaSalle parking garage with the hotel on about 4 floors.

Re: Living in Loring Park area?
It's a great place to live, work and play. Just be aware of the tight parking surrounding this area if you're used to everywhere parking. 110 Grant offers garage parking for $80/mo, which sounds decent. I'll be in a two-person household sharing one car. Ideally, I'd love to abandon having a car alt...

Loring Park neighborhood
I'm working quickly to make my move to MSP a reality. Right now, I'm looking to live in the One Ten Grant building along the Loring Greenway. The area looks great - decently-priced apartments within a short walk to grocery (Lunds), Nicollet Mall, and the skyway. But really wanted to check in here, s...

Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
At least with the Bank and Target Field one could credibly make an argument that the average fan's experience is greatly enhanced. So you're insisting that 99% of fans will not have a better experience at the new stadium vs. the Metrodome, that it'll be almost no difference? Again, if it was good e...

Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
Everyone likes nice things when they aren't looking at the dollars. The reality is the dome was paid off, and nobody was asking for a new stadium other than the Vikes. I'm excited for new buildings too, I'm just not excited to pay for them. Yep, everyone was loving "the worse venue in professi...

Re: Nic on Fifth - (290' - 26 Stories)
http://www.theniconfifth.com shows a new site for me. I'd like to have a talk with the web designer who thought it'd be a good idea to use a 4000 x 2700 pixel, 8.9MB image for the background. I'm glad I'm not paying their hosting bill. Ugh, and the site is terribly organized, too. As an apartment s...

Re: Nic on Fifth - (290' - 26 Stories)
I have an email saying today was the opening day for leasing. Also said the full site will be up today, too, but it's not working right now...A quick glance this morning indicated to me that the Baker sales center might now be open, I'll try to hit it up tomorrow.
