That actually looks pretty good. I'm happy that it looks like it will be a green roof over the whole parking structure.
Also, a land bridge over the 4th/Chicago/LRT intersection? Have we heard anything about that before?

Re: Stadium Parking Ramp Air Rights Development
I guess we'll see, but if they actually are the same height, it'll be the same height as the tower portion of the office building, and a couple stories taller than the portion of the office building it's next to. I agree that it would be nice if it was at least 20-40 feet taller than the high point ...

Re: Minneapolis City Planning Commission
Cool. It's was interesting to see project names I didn't recognize, and then realize that they're now complete, but going by a different name. Also, that concept Stadium Village station area plan image is very nice.

Re: Stadium Parking Ramp Air Rights Development
Hm. I'm assuming that'll be a green roof on the side portion, though I'd be thrilled if the entire top parking level had a green roof above it. Guess we'll see tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm not seeing that either. That being said, I'm going to follow FISHMANPET's example, since I'm pretty open about my real name elsewhere.

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
^This. (Viktor's post, not the one that snuck in while I was typing.) Despite what doomsayers say, this being canceled wouldn't be the end for all trains ever. It might mean that neither of the currently planned extensions happen, and we just focus on better bus service, for years even. But, eventua...

Yeah, I've seen a couple usernames that are probably women (I know I've seen a Jenny something), but one can never be sure on the internet. I'm pretty sure all the relatively prolific (400+ posts) posters are guys.

QFTThere are a lot of people in Minneapolis who do want this built in their neighborhood. It is just that they live in Uptown and Whittier, not Kenwood...

Ah. Hadn't thought to just google the name. I definitely was assuming retired, though, given that some of my favorite arguments happened during working hours.

No idea. Her public FB profile is pretty locked down, displaying only her likes (spoiler: they're pretty much all anti-development), so that's no help.

Re: The Graduate - (1300 block of 4th Ave SE)
I think you're right. However, I also think that a certain someone from the SD group is going to nominate every building in Dinkytown, probably with supporting evidence that has nothing to do with the building in question.

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
Wow. I'd be interested to see Opus's results for the Nic, to see the relative demand for being on the north side of downtown vs. the south. Or, I guess, the relative demand for living in a prettier, taller building.

Oh, yeah, behind the Metrodome, right? Isn't the TriTech center a secondary hub?

Re: Stadium Parking Ramp Air Rights Development
That is some seriously good news, and I would hope that that means they'll be looking into building something on their own in Minneapolis once LPM is done, in addition to working with Ryan on this.

Re: Current & Proposed Downtown Minneapolis Projects
My guess is that, in the 70s/80s, CBDs were where the data infrastructure, such as it was, was located. I'm probably wrong, though.

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
I'm wondering about that too. Are they just pushing for it because they assume the Met Council will end up realizing that the tunnel is completely insane and move the freight instead? What if they don't, and we get a stupidly expensive tunnel that no one (except the park board, of course) actually w...

Maybe, but given the recent Dinkytown decision, it looks like it was a prudent choice.
