What about an autonomous train car that is one track and one car that goes from west end up the cedar lake trail top Penn station and back.

Or another random thought I just had. What about going from the west lake stop all the way down to the Hiawatha line and directly into downtown. Even removing parking wouldn't be enough, if you want to fit such luxuries as turn lanes, station platforms, and well, sidewalks. I just joined and haven't read the whole thread but why not have a light rail down midtown greenway? Seems like there is talk and I personally think it would be route used a lot especially if it went from the southwest corridor to the central corridor lines.
