Re: East of Pascal, West of Lexington, north of I-94

It would be interesting if there could be some sort of development on the Target Parking lots for the "old" store which hug University Ave.
Those lots are almost always empty, since they are so far from the front entrance of Target.

Interesting article on a pilot project going on in Kansas City. Uber meets commuter van.

Re: MSP Airport

I've just flown out of MSP today. Yes the line is longer and you can't see the checkpoints themselves when you get in them, which fills one with dread. But they really fly. I think I was in line for about 10 min.

Nice article about the new YMCA.

I was surprised that it had roughly the same square footage as the old building.

Re: University Avenue Traffic Lane Modification Study

St Paul answer is to put bike lanes on high speed high volume streets. Recent examples: Front Ave. Cleveland Ave. Lexington pkwy and now University Ave? What's next... a bike lane down Snelling? If they do this, for pete's sake please make it protected, unlike the aforementioned. Imagine putting bi...

Re: Major League Soccer Stadium

I think that the St Paul should consider putting diagonal crosswalks & signals at Snelling and University, to be used during high volume events at the new stadium (or maybe during the State Fair). They have them at Colorado Blvd in Pasadena, and they work great wonderfully, especially when there...

Re: 2700 University Ave

Maybe they put a mural of a grocery storefront on that blank wall.

Meanwhile just 5 blocks away in Mpls... a 15 story apt building going up with an actual street level grocery store.

Baaaahhh! St Paul.. always the bridesmaid & never the bride.

Is it me or does the estimate of $40 million seem kind of steep for a TOD parking ramp?

Re: "A Line" Snelling Avenue Arterial Bus

It also seems that the shelters don't protect the passengers from road splash. It also would've been nice to add a sturdy concrete bollard at the upstream part of each platform to protect the passengers in case of a car swerving up onto the platform. Snelling has speeds upwards of 40+ mph. Seems lik...

Re: Saint Paul - General Topics

I look at this site as a mini-Ford plant site. Lots of potential. As far as biking is concerned, there are train tracks which lead from the lumberyard and the go parallel to Wabash over 280. It could be nice to use that ROW and integrate a bike trail from Franklin, through the site, and over 280, an...

It looks like the platforms are no higher than the rest of the curbs in the city.

Can't tell from the pictures if the A line busses "squat" to allow wheelchairs to access (through the back door).

Re: Major League Soccer Stadium

So, there was a guy at the Granada soccer game who was a soccer wonk, and he stated that some of the current MLS teams are good enough to be competitive in the Spanish league. When I asked him to clarify he said that they could beat some of the under performing teams (like Granada). I guess that goe...

Re: Riverview Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)

What do they want the line to be? Like the Blue Line with it's low density/ high speed route the the airport? Or the Green Line, an LRT serving dense areas of the city at lower speeds and with more stops? Has that question been answered and embraced by all stakeholders? It could resemble the Blue li...
