Re: North Loop Neighborhood
This building had so much potential if renovated. Could be like The Park in NYC or another great bar/restaurant/event space.

Re: Nicollet Mall
Love the hypocrisy from those who post on this site. Many rant and rant about how we continue to get the same boring buildings going up - uninspiring, unimaginative bla bla bla and equally how great it would be for out-state developers/architects to come into the Twin Cities market. We get a an amaz...

Re: Nicollet Mall
Overall I love the design but the narrow sidewalks and center islands could put a damper on some of the wonderful sidewalk cafes along the mall but then again it appears they are placed where none are currently existing. I too say either go with streetcars or buses - one or the other. Both are too m...

Hopeful this won't put a stop or severely increase the cost of restoring the theater.

Re: Duluth Housing News
Duluth definitely could use some new housing stock. I can see the challenge of building on the hill though.

Re: Minneapolis & St. Paul Fantasies and Speculations
I guess I continue to be a little perplexed by so many people's disgruntlement with the buildings going up in the Twin Cities. Are they all the most architecturally innovate in design (no), could they have used better building materials (yes), are they the tallest (no), can architects and developers...

New retail moving in...http://tcbmag.com/News/Recent-News/2014/February/North-Loop-Coffee-Shop-Moves;-Nat-l-Retailers-Ente Checked out both store websites - way over my price range. Even in the North Loop - don't see these types of stores surviving long. Seem more geared towards the 50th & Franc...

Re: Plymouth Building Hotel Conversion - (12 6th Street Sout
All of this development is really going to change the northern end of Hennepin for the good. I hope that with the Plymouth conversion that ugly surface parking lot next to it will be quickly redeveloped. Finally appears that owners of these small surface parking lots are realizing the money that can...

Re: Nicollet Mall
So we're going to have an 8' wide lane of ice across the streets? Or am I just being dense and totally not getting this idea? MNdible, you are asking the tough/necessary questions that can help flesh ideas like this out (so thank you). I fully admit that I've only just begun to think about this and...

Re: Mayo Clinic Square (formerly Block E)
Not keen on the name "Mayo Clinic Square" but thing it's a great new direction for Block E and will better connect the business district with the entertainment district. Hopefully will increase skyway and street activity and support move retail/dining in the area.

Agree about the base/entrance. Would have looked better closed in w/ glass.

Love how it overlooks the park. I have to say - the ice-cream shop kinda sticks out like a sore thumb though.

Re: Washington Avenue
Why is it that streetcar/light rail stations get better stations/stops that are also better maintained?
