Re: Mozaic (all phases)
The thing is though that Ackerberg has failed at building anything other than a taxpayer subsidized parking ramp. I don't think there are glorious projects at the end of the rainbow, just eternally vacant lots. I don't think he is ever going to get anything built. His hotel got beat to the market b...

Re: Uptown Hotel Discussion
Didn't even realize that it was going up, let alone that it had passed approval. What was the final outcome regarding height?

Re: The Broadway at Center - Rochester
Awesome. Too bad the design isn't better and the loss of floors but still will, like the article said, will change the skyline.

Re: Uptown General Topics & Development Map
David, it's been a while since I've taken the 6, but I used to hit huge slowdowns on Hennepin in Downtown near MCTC, the lead up to Franklin, and then parts of Hennepin near 26th and 28th. It was especially bad in rain and snow, as well as nice summer days in the PM peak. As an aside, I remember a ...

Re: Rochester
I imagine there are plenty of well paid young profession nurses and doctors who don't need or want a big suburban house and a commute. Downtown is strong enough to support retail and entertainment so I'm hoping more of it happens. BTW I hear Wongs is reopening in a new location. I think away from do...

Re: Rochester
Personally I like the idea of this being built on the parking lot and keeping the mile. This could be built up over the parking lot and there by allowing the parking lot to continue for both residents and shopping needs. I do remember a grocery store on the south end of the Mile some 20 years ago. A...

Yes, and jersey barriers up around the whole site...looks like it is underway. Thank goodness that one poster will not have to inform us that another month has gone by. What ever, it's not like you don't post ridiculous remarks. Thankfully you're never on the other forum anymore as no one liked you.

Re: Rochester
Build the Sonic where Henry's used to be. I see that's not possible but what about across Civic Center Drive in one of those bump out areas of the HyVee's parking lot. Yea there are probably multiple places in town to go. The reason I was thinking Henry's though is to bring back a little history to ...

Re: Guthrie Ramp Hotel Development - 800 Washington Avenue S
Gee thanks for that update. I was really sweating that information about another level in a parking ramp.Yeah, and I was none too confident that they would ever actually go back and build a another story later. Seems like a lot of work for not all that much office space.
