Re: Iron Store - 528 Washington Ave N
Any idea how much square footage these buildings are compared to the other Duffy buildings west of Washington?

I think you can chalk that up to the fact that no one else was willing to compete with him. When you're the only one in the city building condos, you're probably going to save some money on exterior design.

Re: Gateway Tower (Four Seasons/RBC) - 43 stories - 513'
It is a difficult choice, I offered a question that wasn't well thought out. 3rd is busy in the evening rush, people hurrying to get out of DT- Deliveries will be easier morning hours, and they are usually made in the morning(?) I know first hand about the evening, I was crunched on my motorcycle h...

Re: United Properties / Four Seasons "Gateway" Project (Nicollet Hotel Block)
Did they shove a tower from one proposal and the base from another together at the last second? Not sure how else it would end up like that.

Haven't the past couple owners talked about those renovations too? Or is that actually a new thing?

Re: Nicollet Mall
The lights on 5th, crossing the tracks, are terrible. Every morning people stand on all four corners looking around because no people, cars, trains, or buses are moving or seem to have a light. Seems to be a trend as the pedestrian signals on 3rd Ave N around the light rail are terrible too.

I don't know, Be'Wiched has been there for a long time. I will say, it was never busy in there when I was in and the employees interfacing with the customers, over the phone or in person, were completely disinterested. You could tell in the food too. The same sandwich would range from outstanding to...

With the redesign, does this still need to get approval? Or is it pretty much good to go now?
And they should be embarrassed to have that second picture posted on their official twitter account.

Re: United Properties / Four Seasons "Gateway" Project (Nicollet Hotel Block)
Two parking spaces are a huge deal. My building isn't luxury by any means, and if you have less than two spaces it's a significant hurdle to sell. People try to buy a second one just so they have an easier time selling the unit.

That seems pretty cheap for a 2br condo downtown.A coworker just bought one here. 6th floor, east facing. 2br for $390 or so. Blows my mind.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News
I've lived in the North Loop for 10 years now. Parking has become significantly harder to find in that time. I'm not saying that's a bad thing... I'm happy with everything that has driven it, but to not expect people to complain when a convenience has gone from easy to hard is naive.

Well in addition to what you just mentioned, concerts, soccer, basketball, probably hockey, etc. The possibilities seem pretty endless, right?Other than monster truck races and college baseball, what else can you do with a stadium built to NFL specifications?

I was there last weekend and thought the same. I get that they're still doing some work, but it's not that hard throw some lights up or something to brighten it up a little bit for the holidays.I'm really surprised they didn't put up any Christmas lights on the trees or etc.

It's all been in the ceiling. I assume they're doing a bunch of wiring for the new first level spaces? Either way, it's been a mess down there for a long time with a lot of crews and equipment doing work.

I'd love to know what they paid for the Mayo Square renovations. They've been tearing apart the first level of the parking garage for what seems like a year now.

Roughly how many condos would it be if they did 40 stories here?
